The Minnesota Vikings have been told they need to do about five hundred different things in the 2025 NFL Draft. They need to add another offensive lineman, more depth on the defensive line, and a fix to the secondary. Just eight days before the draft, we have finally decided on the best-case scenario for the Vikings.
The best thing the Vikings could have fallen into their lap is someone needing to trade up, jump another team, and load up on picks for day two of the draft. The Vikings should seriously consider trading out of round one of the 2025 NFL Draft.
The team has just four picks in next week's draft, which is largely due to trading up twice in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
This year's draft class is most valuable on day two, when rounds two and three are taking place. The Vikings in the mock draft have been attached to teams like the Giants or Browns, who may want to trade back into round one for a quarterback if one were to fall like Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart.
In those situations, they would likely acquire a second-round pick and a third or fourth-round pick, giving them three to four selections in the top 100. It is always nice to have extra lottery tickets instead of relying on one lottery number to hit the jackpot.
