The Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to be on the clock at pick No. 24 during the 2025 NFL Draft. However, after addressing several roster needs and currently only owning four picks, Minnesota could be looking to trade down from 24.
Here are three teams the Vikings could be looking to trade back with on April 24.
The Bills have been close to breaking through and reaching the Super Bowl for years. They've had chances to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs three times in the last four years. With the Vikings looking to trade down, the Bills look to get aggressive, not allowing the Chiefs or Eagles to do business with Minnesota and snatch an interior lineman ahead of them.
A trade could take several different forms, but here, the Vikings send the Bills picks No. 24 and No. 187 for picks No. 30 and No. 109. This gives the Vikings a slight advantage in the Fitzgerald-Spielberger trade model but gets them two picks in 13 selections in the third and fourth rounds.
The Eagles always restock their defensive line, and with several interior linemen potentially falling to 24, they get aggressive and try adding one of them. Minnesota, who addressed the interior defensive line in free agency, trades down and sees who filters down to pick No. 32.
Here, the Vikings are sending the Eagles pick No. 24 and a 2026 seventh-round pick for picks No. 32 and 134. This allows the Vikings to retain pick 187 and add picks instead of only moving up in 2025.
Here's where the Vikings could get value. If the Browns pass on a quarterback at pick No. 2, this is absolutely in play. Would Cleveland be interested in trading up for Jackson Dart or possibly even Shedeur Sanders if he were to suffer a draft-night fall?
Because the Browns would be more desperate than teams at the back of the first round, we have the Vikings taking advantage of them a little bit. The Vikings could send pick No. 24 in exchange for picks No. 33 and 94. That gives Minnesota three picks on Day 3 and ammunition to move up if they see someone they like falling in the third round. Over The Cap says the Vikings gain the value of the 129th pick, the equivalent of a late fourth-round selection.
