Sarcasm is fine, but next time try and get the facts right.

The 1 through 8 seedings are for each Conference and do not carry over to the Finals.

You used Detroit and Sacramento. Detroit is 50-32. Sacramento is 59-23. If they met in the Finals, Sacramento, with the better record, would receive the home court advantage and be favored to win the series. Detroit would be the underdog.

Nice try though.

So much for hyperbole. Apparently I need more extensive footnotes in my posts from now on. The phrase "The perception of the majority of the population has nothing to do with this. It's all about the seeding." was a valid case of sarcasm. However, the next statement, "The Pistons, therefore, have a really good chance of beating the Kings in the finals! I mean, look at the seeding! The Kings would be the underdogs!" was a case of extending the idea to an exaggerated level. I will be sure and point out, from now on, when I am not being completely literal. My apologies.*

* This phrase, as well as the one immediately preceeding it, are to be taken sarcastically.

Wait, now I'm confused.* By "this phrase," do you mean the phrase that is itself referenced, as in "this moment"? Or do you mean the phrase that is already completed before the referent pointing back to it?

* No I'm not.
