I don't understand why Krispy Kreme even bothers making different flavors...in the end they all taste like the melted goo they coat it with. Do they have a donut without the glaze on it?

you sure about that? I thought when I went there on a field trip with my daughter they said all of them get the glaze, then whatever else on top of that. It's all part of the automated process; I don't think it's avoidable.

Definitely going to have to research this.

If their cake donut receives a glaze and is still that dry, I'd be shocked.

Fresh homemade donuts are the best. No question.

KK donuts have too much sugar in the dough. When you can still taste undisolved sugar crystals in the dough that is too much.

Dunkin!

I'm a fat guy and not even I can tolerate the sugar in the KK donuts.

Only in AZ can you make a comment like "the five story one" and everyone knows how to find the place....

or unless he lives right around the corner and knows the intersection.

It goes well. I make a mean mexican donut, by the way. Its called a churro.
When are you back in NYC? I need to well fry some beans for you, me thinks.
Mmmm, churros. Hey, we had a seriously awesome breakfast the other day. A poached egg in a sopa (the corn boat thing) with a green tomatillo/cilantro sauce and chorizo on top. Awesome!!

Interesting. This could be in the "Interesting, I did not know that" thread (for me, anyway). :D
