I don't think the Cards are going to sign a bunch of guys. I do think Monti will try and make a splash by signing, and overpaying, Josh Sweat. Can't see Milton Williams being a target. I'd rather re-sign Collier than him.

realistic guys I'd target(in order of preference by position):
ILB-Nick Bolton, Devin Bush, Kyzer White
EDGE- Malcolm Koonce, Sweat, Browning
OG- Mekhi Bechton, Will Hernandez
WR- Darius Slayton, Marquise Brown
DL- Dre'Mont Jones, LJ Collier
OT- all dependent on Jonah Williams status. Jedrick Wills

My top 5 targets would be:
Dre'Mont Jones
Nick Bolton
Malcolm Koonce
Mekhi Becton
Darius Slayton

Some people hating on the Josh sweat potential free agency signing - sure he isn’t the best DL in the history of football- but he would be a huge upgrade on this current roster, knows JG and his system, and isn’t a dinosaur at the age of 27.

We are the Arizona cardinals - a team with a terrible owner and the worst grade in the nfl based on players voting. Overpaying a bit for above average players is a reality we are going to have to swallow. That said we are on the verge of being a playoff team - we make that jump in free agency this year, not praying a rookie is going to immediately step in and elevate us to the next level

The Bears just made me hate Monti's GM run even more.

Poles isn't in the same situation. He's on the hot seat with a 15-36 record. He has this year to turn things around, which is why he's sending 4th's for 32 year old Guards.

If Bears aren't good this year Poles is done as a GM. Also why he's sending 2026 picks, because he won't be there to care if they don't work out.

Agreed I would bet he is the number one target….the patriots are said to be in on Milton big time and they have 130 mill to spend…my guess is 4 year 92 million 65 mill guaranteed is what we will have to pay to land this stud… then we go for reddick on a cheap one or 2 year deal…. We would be set up nicely for the draft

Bro am I on crazy sauce? He has 19 career starts. He's never played 50% of the snaps on his own team. He's gonna get paid more than Dexter Lawrence? He's gonna get more guaranteed money than Derrick Brown?

Being aggressive in sports generally works. Everyone has known the Bears major issue has been on their offensive line and QB. Before FA has hit, Ben Johnson prioritized upgrading the offensive line and they traded for a 2024 Pro Bowler and an established vet he knows from his time in Detroit. Slightly different than Elijah Wilkerson, Dennis Daley, and Froholdt even though Froholdt has become a top 12 NFL C to Monti's credit.

Yeah… as long as it’s a reasonable deal, I’d be good with Kirk coming back to play the slot and hopefully rekindle the deep ball connection he and Kyler had at one point. He’s also still relatively young at 28.
Yes and the injury he has last season was a broken collar bone. So he should be able to hit the ground running at OTAs with no issues.

I care less about the dollars and more about the years. This team needs to win football games.

Being aggressive in sports does not "generally work". Sport is littered with rookie or failing GM's being aggressive and completely failing. Hell just look at the Denver trade for Wilson or the Browns trade for Watson. Every single offseason FA period turns out more top 10 paid busts than successes.

Neither of these Bears trades are great. Jackson was benched by the Rams for rookie 6th round pick Bo Limmer and Thuney is a great player but he's 33 this season and only has a year left on his deal. He could walk away after next year and the Bears burnt a 4th because it's extremely unlikely they win a superbowl next season.

Yeah, the team is not drafting a guard in the first round.
Hernandez and another Evan Brown are a FA. The team has been indicating that we will let Hernandez go.

Who exactly are you all planning to replace him with?

It will likely be $10 million a year if you want to sign a Guard.

Isn't defense the biggest FA need?

You must be registered for see images attach

There are multiple DL and DE's available in the 2nd and 3rd round and we could move up to get specific players.

The draft is short on offensive linemen but has a plethora of defensive linemen.

It makes complete sense to get a freak of an athlete in the first round. He is essentially might also the best player available.

Meh on Kirk. WIlson can do anything Kirk can do and more. If we are going to sign a WR I want a outside receiver with long speed and Wilson moves to the slot.

I will tell you what doesn't work. Not taking any major chances like Bidwill has done, which is one reason he has the reputation as being cheap and a horrible owner. Not to mention the fact we have the 32nd best facilities. Do you think that is acceptable, especially when it is a make or break year for Kyler Murray?

The fans and AZ sports media are pivoting to that stance. If we don't win a playoff game this year Kyler is done here mark my words and that was Bidwill's deal that he should feel attached to make work. Monti will make at least one big spash this year. You can't bring up single anecdotes to disprove an idea.

All I have to say in return is Leonard Williams. It depends on the player, the situation and the timing.

I could find as much statistical backing behind saying signing big name players in sports does work.

Yeah, zero chance that incident has any impact on whether or not we try and acquire Garrett.
I don't want him here. Do you?

He was going 20 over two years ago and crashed his car into a ditch if that counts.

We also have Elijah Jones too, who red shirted as a 3rd round pick. You'd hope he could be the 4th CB.
Yeah I agree. As well as Rabbit. We have alot of depth but not a ton of experience. I just don't see how they don't put SMB on the field when we are paying him 9 million a year.
