For me it is Point Break and his Johnny Utah character. The lost puppy dog look was perfected there.

I went with Speed, just because there isn't really a standout performance among them.

"Best Keanu Reeves Performance." Isn't that an oxymoron?

I went with the Matrix because he bothered me far less than he usually does.

But I think there's a case to be made for Bill and Ted's because he really nailed the character.

Also, I think there might even be a case made for a movie that's not on the list: Parenthood.

I thought it would be funny to put Keanu Reeves up next to Pacino and DeNiro.

I think people are going to pick their favorite movie of the list. He always makes me laugh even though he's not a comedic actor.

You failed to list his Oscar information.

I thought he was a great choice for The Matrix. His persona fit the role perfectly.

Come on Arthur, way to bow to popular culture! Speed was a fun movie, but Keanu was wooden in it. These are based on performances, not on how good the movie is.

I don't really think Robert DeNiro or Al Pacino could have played Ted Logan like Keanu Reeves. They couldn't have played Johnny Utah either.

Not that it was a great movie or anything, but I actually enjoyed The Replacements. There were several funny, interesting characters and Reeves played his part pretty well.

The problem with using Bill and Ted is that Keanu wasn't acting in that movie that IS him.

And he's basically been the same character in every movie since then only his hair changes.

Reeves is an awful actor, but he wasn't bad in The Replacements though.

MESA! :thud:
I like Keanu very much--I respect him as a person--he manages to stay out of the spotlight--he donates almost all of his money to charity, he takes care of his permanently ill sister (can't remember what she has). I don't think he's a bad actor, either. I feel I've made this argument on here before....anyway, I thought he was really good in The Replacements--I love that movie, so I probably took liberties with the intent of the poll, sorry. Best performance would probably actually be Bill & Ted's. I can't say it wasn't acting, ("that's just how he is" as someone stated on here) because I don't see enough of him in interviews & whatnot since he's so shy.
