I'm not THAT young.

I'm young enough to call you an old fart, but old enough to have seen most of the movies discussed on this thread.

My opinion, is that lists like the aforementioned one, are absolute garbage. I could care less what cinema geeks think of my favorite movies.

Movies are made solely for entertainment. They never have the depth of a good book. Just my opinion on the subject.

My wife's best movie vote goes to "Gone with the Wind".

Mine goes to "Breaker Morant".

"Gandhi" is in my top ten.

Casablanca and Citizen Kane were total garbage.

Platoon is in my top ten.

I love chick flicks and hate black comedies.

E. T. was great.

Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind is in my top 20. So is Dances with Wolves. Same with Saving Private Ryan.

The African Queen is the only Bogart movie I really like.

Movies from my youth that stayed with me are Old Yeller, Spartacus, and Lady and the Tramp.

Yep! I totaly agree, and I think that some people just like these movies because other people say they are the greatest movies ever....its like we're suppose to, its a law.

These movies are boring, anticlimactic
