In a van...down by the river.
I agree that it would be better for us if Nash were traded but I also think this highlighted section applies to you. You're thinking about this as a fan without considering that Nash has a different perspective than you do. I don't expect everyone to agree with my view of the world but I can quite confidently say that if I were Nash I wouldn't feel right forcing a trade either. It violates my sense of right and wrong and it does that for a lot of people of my generation (and some from younger generations also). It doesn't matter whether it should feel that way it only matters that it does feel that way.

Putting myself in Steve's shoes, I could comfortably approach Management and tell them that I would be agreeable to a trade if they found the right deal/partner. I keep hoping he will actually do this and I wouldn't even be surprised to discover that he already has. But taking it a step further means something quite different to me than it does to you and several others on this board.

I'll try to explain my current position on the Phoenix Suns as best i can without typing a novel

I've been a die hard since the late 80's. IMO when you love a team its almost like loving a child of your own. You feel joyous and proud when they succeed...and feel disappointment when they fail, and hope and encourage them to learn from their mistakes.

With this team,i basically sent my child away to live with an aunt or uncle the last few years....and hope that someday soon they'll return with a brighter sense of what needs to be done to grow and mature ...LOL.

They haven't learned from their mistakes and past shortcomings. That makes it easier for myself to step back and not pay attention to the minor battle's they've won here n there enroute to the same old same old mediocre dog & pony show...and like when one looks at their children, you see all the positive....and denial is usually present in some form. You know what i mean?

I hope that analogy wasn't too silly :) It makes sense from my POV

They're still doing it wrong Steve,of that i have no doubt....and IMO Nash is part of the problem at this stage of the apparent Suns 2012 and beyond mantra of going nowhere fast.

I wholeheartedly agree with this but not with Nash being part of the problem. I really believe Steve would be fine going elsewhere but this organization doesn't want to pay the price until they are absolutely forced to. Take Steve off this roster and I think we're the worst team in the league. With him, we're a borderline playoff team.

I put the responsibility for moving Steve completely on the shoulders of management. It's Steve's job to play basketball to the best of his ability. The guys that run the franchise are the ones letting us down by playing out this string.
