Best Receiver in football right now?

I have seen most of the great receivers like Jerry Rice, Lynn Swann and others over the past 60 years. I do not know that I have ever seen a better receiver than Larry Fitgerald. He is fast, tall, big, long arms, jumps really high, and can routinely catch the ball with one of his big hands. A big time catch is almost routine for him and he has the moves of a small man after he catches the ball. Jerry Rice was always one of my favorites but I do not think he can stand up to a Fitzgerald. What we will have to see is that if Fitz can stand the test of time these other great receivers did. Can he stay healthy and go the distance?

I was wondering about this myself. Jerry Rice was the first player I actually paid attention to, but I don't remember him making some of these crazy catches that Fitz is making. IIRC many of Jerry Rice's catches were up the middle and he was able to make the catch and turn it up the field for TDs. I don't remember him making very many one handed grabs, but I'm certain he made a few.

Do you mean who had the better year, or who is the best receiver right now? Fitzgerald had the better year, of course, but Moss is still the better receiver, I think, with 11 TDs and 1000+ yards despite working with an inexperienced rookie QB. Honestly, it is really hard to choose just one receiver as the best. Fitzgerald and Moss are both top tier.

Moss is very good and truth be told if he really tried and applied himself he'd still be the best.

He's unreal but Fitz is all around better IMO just because he's a more stable guy and more of a team guy but Moss gets a bad rap like that more than he deserves, he's no TO or anything close.

Steve Smith is better than A. Johnson IMHO but then I put a big emphisis on speed, Smith plays mad and mean, blocks great, he's pretty good.

I'm happy with Fitz atm.
