I figure since everyone else is coming out with their top 10 lists of the year why not see what everyone's opinions are. I know we have a thread of best show on tv but I always think of that is only good for shows that are still airing. Here you can chose whichever show aired in 2010.

Well here it goes. For me my list is:
1. Breaking Bad- AMC
2. Mad Men- AMC
3. Terriers- FX
4. Community- NBC
5. Boardwalk Empire- HBO
6. Rubicon- AMC
7. Louie- FX
8. Treme- HBO
9. Sherlock- PBS
10. Pacific- HBO

I would say the few that just missed the cut were Modern Family (ABC), Walking Dead (AMC), and the 30 for 30 Series (ESPN).

This was such a great year for tv and hopefully they can continue it thru next year.

Well, I'm leaving off cancelled shows so my list would be something like this (changes almost daily):

1. Lie To Me
2. The Mentalist
3. Psych
4. Leverage
5. Burn Notice
6. White Collar
7. Eureka
8. Castle
9. Covert Affairs
10. The Glades

Just Missed: Sons Of Anarchy, Walking Dead, Human Target, Sanctuary, Fringe, Haven, Rizzoli & Isles, Rookie Blue, Nikita, Vampire Diaries, Bones, Criminal Minds, Hawaii 5-0.

Terriers, Rubicon and Stargate Universe would have made my top 10 if they hadn't been cancelled.

No list should have The Mentalist listed above Psych (the show it blatantly copied). :D

It copied, and improved upon, Psych. Actually, I think Lie To Me is the serious version of Psych and The Mentalist is halfway in between the two shows. I love all three.

I actually don't care for Mad Men. Not that it's bad, it's actually really well made and acted. I just get bored by it. Rubicon was the same way.

But your Transformers 2 opinion just begs to be ridiculed for years to come. ;)

Phew. I was beginning to think I was the only one who couldn't get into it. I tried so hard, too.

More sublety and subtext than a James Ivory flick. You can't discount it, but I didn't find it entertaining either.

That is okay, I felt the same way about Lost. Lost's acting was horrible though. :)

I agree completely on Mad Men. No complaints other than it just didn't hold my interest. I'm curious about Rubicon though. How far did you get into it. It was really slow paced and such a dismal world that I really had trouble staying with it.

However, once they started developing Arliss Howard's character I started to fall in love with the show. If you bailed out early and IF they ever come back to the show with some kind of wrap-up (highly doubtful) I'd strongly recommend you give it another try.

I only saw the Pilot back in the summer, but I'm planning on watching it again when it comes to DVD.

Heck, I started Stargate SG-1 based on your recommendation, so I'll take this one into consideration as well. And FYI, I liked SG-1, I just wasn't blown away by it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they incorporated to movie into the show--it seemed to be a very logical step from the movie to this series.

IIRC, I liked the show from the start but I didn't really fall in love with Stargate until they wrapped up the end of season one cliffhanger. If you get that far and don't love the show, you probably never will IMO.

I think by season three or so they've taken the mythology of the movie and turned it into something so much bigger and better than the movie could have ever hoped for. Good luck with Rubicon when it comes to DVD. A warning though, it does take a few episodes (maybe 5 or so) to really warm up to the show, IMO.
