Talk about identity crisis, house divided, etc....

Yep, same here. Went NAU undergrad, UofA grad. My dad went to ASU, mom went UofA, brother went to Arizona, sister went to ASU grad school.

Lots of tension in the air when the topic wonders to the weekends game during thanksgiving dinner.

BCS or not its meaningless!

So you think all bowl games are meaningless except the National title game? I still have to point to $17 million dollars. That's not meaningless. Even to the super rich athletic departments like Texas and Alabama.

Heck the BCS title game is meaningless. A championship played a month or more after each team's last game? That doesn't tell you anything about the teams involved. Imagine the Super Bowl played March 1st.

In 2007 the Ohio State Buckeyes went 7 weeks between their season finale vs Michigan and the BCS title game vs LSU.

The BCS is and always has been a joke. Yes even in 2005-06 when the Horns won.
