if this D had Washington, they'd likely be the most dominant D we've ever seen in AZ and possibly the best in the league.

freakign Washington...and Cleveland for giving Dansby the keys to Fort Knox!

No doubt about it.

If we can have a tad of faith in the Thomas... I will give even more to Minter, but damn Dansby and Washington would make me think Super Bowl big time right now lol

i'd think we'd have as good a shot as anyone in the league if those two guys were manning the middle of the field this year.

I think we still have a chance....but I'm taking a wait and see approach.

i think we'll challenge for the wild-card, which means we'll have a chance once the playoffs start, but I can't help but think we'd have a really good shot at the division and home playoff games which would give us an even better shot at hosting the big one.

I can't really get myself to believe that the Cardinals could be in the Super Bowl at the end of the upcoming season. Too many things have to fall their way for them to even contend IMO.

The offensive line, linebackers and running backs make me nervous. If Ellington goes down, if Minter/Foote can't cover, if Cooper and Fanaika suck, etc., etc.

Been a Cardinal fan too long I guess. LOL

I am saying 9-7, maybe 8-8 with the question marks I have mentioned. This will be a tough, tough division to win in.

Oh to dream, yes this D would rival the best ever in NFL history if we had those two playing. Well maybe HB being fully healthy and Old Abe playing like last year and another pass rusher emerging would be needed for that but certainly we would challenge for the #1 D this year.

I still think we well have a top 15 D and could be a top 10 D which is enough considering this Offense will be in the top 5 if CP's TO's trend like they did the 2nd half of the season last year.

I let that go, Washington is nothing but a memory. No use wasting time talking about him when he puts himself before the team.

It was always figured that dansby would live after the year for a big deal too. it is what it is. Foote and Minter are good ILBs. next man up, be better than the last.

I'm hoping for a top ten O and top 10 D. That happens and we'll still be tough as nails for anyone.

I agree totally, but I think what we will see is a great year coming from the D without those 2. Yes, we would be in beast mode in every game, but I have a feeling we will still do pretty damn well with the 2 that replaced D and D.

Sick of hearing people complain about losing Washington, he's a ******* and his ******** isn't playing this year. Leave it at that. Carson Palmer is the key to this team getting to the big dance, two inside linebackers aren't carrying your team to a SB win just ask the 9ers. If Palmer plays like he did in Seattle, even with the same defense as last year plus our new additions, we probably lose that game 8-9 times outta 10. Play like that in the post season and you're more than likely done. I'm pretty damn confident the defense will be fine without ******* and dan$by, I'm expecting another top 10 unit. They'll play well enough to keep us in games, need Palmer and the O to play to their potential.

I didn't think Bickley even liked the Cardinals. Besides, my seven year-old grandson says the Cards will be in the Bowl this year. Of course, he also thinks the Dolphins will be there but I think his guess is as good as Bickley's.

EDIT: I know that post made no sense but three glasses of wine does that to me.

That's it! I'm getting you a "Freaking Washington!" shirt made up. I totally agree with you 100 million percent, it's the worst thing with Dansby splitting for the cash cow. Allow me to ride the Darkside for a moment, this hurts. Losing him really pisses me off, everytime new good news comes out it like a sting in the gut. Everybody knows I'm pretty much an activist when it comes to Maryjane, and it just burns me to no end that he thought marijuana was more important than what was going on in his life. It's pure stupidity, and these dirty UAs and no shows are what Goodell considers a slap in the face. You can hit a woman, or someone with your car, but the ganja is unhittable. Rules are rules, and he pissed all over our chances for a substance that isn't even addictive, there are no pot withdrawls. It's idiotic, I've gone years without smoking and there wasn't millions of dollars involved, much less thousands and thousands of people counting on me. I am done with Washington, Mikey and Keim care about the team, but this is one case where they continue to deal with someone that doesn't care about the team. Dumb choices are dumb choices, he gives the Arizona Cardinals and Medical Marijuana a bad name.

I was happy with Ray Horton, and am happy with Todd Bowles, and both are very good DC's. But Bowles "looks" like a HC. And naturally I have no idea how either does in an interview.

I know I will get some flack for this, but if Desmond Bishop is about 85% of what he once was then I feel much better about the inside linebacker position.

I think Minter, Demens, and Foote will be just fine in every aspect of the game except covering the TE/slot. If Bishop, by some stroke of luck, shows he still has the coverage skills that he had in Green Bay, then I think the band aid at the ILB position may be enough to keep this team on the road to the playoffs.

A lot of if's I know. But, we will see.

Really like the Cardinals picking up Max Starks and Desmond Bishop. Both for depth, both for a role.

I don't think enough credit is given to Bowles. Dansby was pretty average in Miami & an absolute stud under Bowles. I understand that Dansby always ups the ante when money is on the line. But, I'll be shocked if Dansby is the same player now that he hit the jackpot. Enjoy having Bowles this year, because he'll be a HC next year. I just hope BA has his replacement on the radar screen. Washington is a bigger loss than Dansby. We were not the same same D when he was out last year. We will not be able to replace him. He is certainly a *******!!!!

I believe you are right on with this statement. Both Horton and Bowles had the penchant to study their players and to put each of them into a position to take advantage of their strengths and to minimize their weaknesses. Dansby excelled when playing under that type of coach, and played far weaker under a lesser type coach in Miami.

I have complete faith in Bowles to put his roster into the very best position to take advantage of their strengths again this year. I believe this translates into another really good defense.

Let them play a couple games before you start believing this is something special. You all are keyed up on the koolaid a little premature. There is still two teams better than us in our own division.

Chill boys
