Unfortunately the Magic just traded Tobias Harris for Jennings and Illyasova so it seems unlikely the Suns deal is going anywhere unless Orlando just wanted to dump Harris.

Obviously we'd have to know the full details. But at first blush, getting rid of Knight (and with it the legacy of the Lakers pick) to take on a now older Frye with that contract seems pretty bad.

But of course, that could just be two pieces of many involved. If it includes a 1st round pick or something, like this years (a lottery pick), it would start sounding better.

I could see Orlando dealing Frye and a lotto pick for Knight. They get out of the salary, they get a player that they covet. Hope I am not being too optimistic here. Orlando would have to include more salary.

Any combination of Frye with Oladipo, Hezonja, or Gordon works salary wise. Knight for Oladipo and Frye is probably a fair deal.

They would have to add more than that because there is no reason for the Suns to downgrade from Knight to Jennings while absorbing Frye.

Knight, Tucker or Kieff for Jennings, Hezonja, Frye I would do that though.

You're correct - Knight went to Milwaukee for Jennings.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the Orlando deal is more along the lines of Knight & Markieff for Frye, Jennings and Aaron Gordon (draft pick sweeteners on either side possible).

That was a semi-rebuilding move which could progress in either direction in Orlando.

I doubt that is true, but I agree that they are not going to send him our way. I suspect if the Clips even had that conversation that they asked for a helluva lot more than just Gordon.

What is funny is that what Griffin did is IMO a lot worse than what Morris did combined.

No only is it already proven that he assaulted someone. He punched a team staff member. And he broke his hand which basically destroys any hope the Clippers had for this season while they are one of the top 5 contending teams.

There is a big difference in that Blake is actually an outstanding player.
