He had a good reputation for a long time, did a bunch of good after the way his dad ran this team into the ground. The funny thing is, the older he gets the more he turns into his dad.
I think the record under Mikey's leadership might be at or worse than Sr.

They should do a Progressive commercial where he gets help not turning into his dad. LOL

Look at the bright side. He got the stadium built and it has hosted many major events that have made a positive financial impact on the community. The oranization and players contribute a lot to the community. Well, at least we do have an NFL team in Phoenix.

The great citizens of Arizona got the stadium built.
Also Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the country we were always going to get a NFL team.
The Cards just lucked into the spot.

Phoenix, Phoenix, Phoenix. Kind of funny since the team has never once played a game in Phoenix. It was an easy change to the Arizona Cardinals since they've only ever played in Tempe or Glendale. ;)

Phoenix Metro is how this works.
Glendale and Tempe don't qualify for a NFL team Phoenix would without either city.
Tons of NFL stadiums not in the city they are named for.

I know all of that. It is just funny how people refer to the team and then toss Phoenix into it. No facilities there, never played there, etc.

Even when we hosted the Rams, an ESPNTV host said it was great to see Phoenix welcome their rival in and host them. I bet he has no idea where the Cardinals play their games.

I get it.
Im in Gilbert but tell people I'm from Phoenix when out of state. Just makes things easier.

Would have loved to see the stadium get put downtown but that wasn't in the Cards. ;)

It's no different than when I tell people we are from Mesa and a few minutes later they turn to another person and introduce us as being from Phoenix. Uh, nope. Have never lived in Phoenix. I've stayed there overnight with family when I was younger but have never lived there myself. Same with my wife.

We are East Valley all the way. Mesa is the 36th largest city in the US and is the third largest city in AZ and is larger than cities like Atlanta, Kansas City, Miami, Oakland, Minneapolis, Tampa, Arlington, New Orleans, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Pittsburgh, etc. All cities known for having NFL teams or in the case of Oakland - having had an NFL team before.

I think the record under Mikey's leadership might be at or worse than Sr.

Michael running the show
New Stadium
137-153-2 record for .470 winning percentage
5 playoff appearances making it to conference championships twice and a super bowl in 17 years

Bill running the show
Failed multiple times to get a stadium
278-389-13 record for .408 winning percentage
4 playoffs appearances making it to conference championships and a super bowl/championship zero times in 45 years

I do not like Michael due to how he treats players and staff and want him to sell yesterday, but he has done a much better job than his father, there is no debate there.
