No, Keith should be cut and Levi moved back to Right Tackle where he was finally starting to become an NFL caliber offensive lineman when the idiots changed the entire Oline because they were going to have a Left Handed QB that they cut before the season started! :bang:

Watch again. Keith has been significantly out playing Brown the past three or four games. It seems like Keith is improving while Levi keeps getting worse and worse.

I've been watching. It's like there's a contest between Brown and Keith to see who can whiff on the most blocks.

They both suck.

Maybe I am just seeing it differently. It could just be that Levi is playing against faster d ends and therefore Keith's man doesn't get there as quickly. I agree that I would rather have two different bookends at this point, but if we had to keep one, I would keep Keith. He seems to be improving, and he is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Please I heard enough of that this off season.

Now because we kept a bunch of guys who were a hell of a lot cheaper we're 3-6 and look absolutely pitiful on both sides of the ball.

I would rather have an awful back up tackle at the league min than an awful back up tackle at 5 million like it or not.

I would rather have a good, proven veteran RIGHT tackle at $5million than an awful back up pretending to be an NFL Right tackle at the league minimum. The latter being what the Cards seem to like to purchase and for some odd reason some fans seem to like.

Sorry if I'm more interested in watching the Cards win football games than save money.

The point I was trying to make is that neither of them should be starting.

Well that's really where we disagree because I think that Levi was finally starting to become a decent Right Tackle. His first year and a half he really looked lost and stood around a lot. Last season he didn't. Then they moved him to Left Tackle and he reverted to his rookie form.

But I am not now and never have been in favor of taking a less talented player on the hope that he will get better over a proven veteran with costing less money being a factor in the decision. Which went on here a lot this off season.

For instance where the heck is our cheaper "defensive rookie of the year" LB who was going to easily replace Karlos Dansby? Where is our cheaper Boldin aka Early Doucet? 15 catches!?!?! and extended periods on the injured list? Meanwhile Q has 45 catches and 6 TDs for the Ravens. But what the heck we won games while Q was out, right?

I'm not yelling at you chopper but dang.....

But Duck, didn't you know we can't keep everybody? It's seems like the Cards can't keep many that are worth a damn. We seem to mostly let the good ones go & replace them with older overpriced has beens. :bang:

Up next: Breaston, THT, Branch, Gabe & Fitz...:bang::bang::bang:

+1.

We throw 40 times a game cause we cannot run the ball. Ugh. It is a conundrum of suck-a-tude.

I love that people keep on banging the "run the ball" drum. Guess what? We can't run the ball. We can't set up the run with the pass, and we can't set up the pass with the run. D's have nothing to fear.

This season is lost. It's time to start playing for the future. Nowhere do the the Cards need to do this more than the o-line.

My plan would be to start Bridges at left tackle, NOW. Move Brown to left guard and bench Faneca. Not that Faneca has been so bad, but he is likely done after this season or next. I would keep the rest of the line as is.

Use the rest of the season to see if Brown can play guard. See if Keith continues to improve. Also...RESIGN Lutui, the only above average lineman currently on the roster.

During the off-season make finding a franchise left tackle (through free agency, draft, or trade) a HUGE priority. If Brown picks up the guard position good. If not, move him back to right tackle and plug Faneca or Hadnot in at guard. If Keith makes major strides at right tackle then keep him and dump Brown.

The o-line has not been good since the seventies and that is the number one reason this team has sucked the majority of the years that followed. So many astute fans (like so many on this board) know this, but until the CARDINALS figure this simple fact out, they are doomed.

There are no franchise LT's that hit the open market unless they old or injured or both. So the Cards aren't finding one there. A trade is also unlikley because franchis LT's are right below QB's in terms of value. The guy the Cards should target in FA is Logan Mankins. They'll never ante up for him but I would like to see an interior OL next year of Mankins, Hadnot, and Lutui. I also think Keith is playing better and will continue to develop into a good RT. The LT is going to have to come from the draft. Let's just hope we don't pass on Andrew Luck to take him .

Jared Gaither will be hitting free agency this offseason. He's not Tony Boselli, but he's head and shoulders better than what we've got right now.

If we were going to pass this much, why didn't we just keep Reggie Wells?

Didn't Bmore put him out there for anyone who wanted him last off-season and nobody did? Or am I thinking of someone else? The sad thing is, I know alot of us wanted the Cards to take him in the supp. draft a few years ago but I think Graves had the day off that day. Didn't the Ravens get him with a 5th or 6th supp pick?

For a pick, and he was working off a one-year tender. It was sort of like the Vick situation this season; Philly was shopping him for a Starbucks gift card but no one wanted him.

I know I was in the campe that the Cards should have put in a late-round pick for Gaither; he's turned into a good player. But after Bmore used a first on Oher and were working on developing the kid from Houston(?), Gaither became too expensive for him to fit into their long-term plans.

It's time for changes. Put Levi Brown back at right tackle where he belongs. He was finally playing well last year. Keep Lutui at RG. Try Hadnot at center and see if he is the guy that we need to replace Sendlein. At LG start Herman Johnson. At LT start Bridges and give him help constantly with backs and tightends until we can replace him this offseason. If Hadnot works out we only need one starter on the line going into next season.
