Ben Wallace, with his first rebound Tuesday, became the first player in NBA history to produce more than 1,000 rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 steals in four seasons. He did it in four consecutive seasons.

I think the point was noone has ever done it in any four seasons (consecutive or not). And Wallace did it and did it four in a row.

Yeah but my understanding is that what they wrote means that he totalled 1000 rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 steals over a stretch of 4 seasons.

Writer's presentation aside, it is a very impressive accomplishment.

It is an amazing stat.

Players who are shot blockers often find themselves out of position to rebound. The same goes for players who get alot of steals. Its not only a sign of great athletic ability but also court saavy--on the defensive end.
