Laying the hammer down. Good job Goddell!

For a first time NFL suspension this severe, there had to have been more than sufficient evidence in Rodger's mind that he did force himself upon that girl and that this is a pathological issue; otherwise, he would not be mandating counseling.

The fact that Ben is not contesting this suspension in any manner speaks volumes... LOSER!

I dont think he really had any choice. The way the commish has been given authority, I don't think it would be too smart on BB's part.

It's going to be real interesting to see how this plays out and watch how his people handle this. Why do I already have the picture in my head of Roethlisberger sitting next to Oprah with a big tear running down his cheek as he says his Mea Culpas?

Oprah? Check.
Rehab? Check.
Dishing out meals at the rescue mission? Check.

I think with all the free time he's gonna have now, the thing he'll most likely be dishing out, is more of little Ben to inebriated females.

Most of the Steeler fans are wanting him out. A buddy of mine at work has been preaching this since the beginning & he called the Holmes trade. He said his family & friends in the Steel city are in an uproar over BB.

They did a poll in their main paper and something like 80% of the Pitt people either watned him traded or heavily fined/suspended.

Colin Cowherd just said Whiz could/should be on the phone to trade for Roethlisberger. The huge noise we just heard was the sound of thousands of Cards fans clutching their chests.

If all the rumors were true that BB & Wiz didnt get along, it would never get very far.

I am sure he had the blessings of the Steeler organization to put such a severe punishment on him. Not only a warning to other steeler players but it puts the rest of the NFL on notice to ship up or be ready to pay the price.

on Gambo and ash yesterday Whiz was asked about this, Whiz said he couldn't comment for fear of tampering. take it for what it's worth.

I bet if the Niners offered up their two #1's the Steelers wouldn't even blink before making the trade, maybe even a #1 & #2

Since he's rich and famous, he has "sex addiction".
When us regular guys do things like this, we're predators, cheaters, jerks.

Without a conviction Goodell couldn't give a harsher punishment. I would be demoralized if the Cards would even think about getting Fathead.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & say a trade between these 2 teams happens. Reports are the Steelers are contacting teams already.

I dislike Big Ben as a person or at least what Iknow of him but as a QB he is an extremely good one. During the SB I was amazed at how he would just shrug off CC or 90 as if they were flyweights.

PFT says Oakland is the only option. It's match made in Heaven or should I say He!!. With the suspension, he wouldn't play week 3 versus the Cardinals anyway.
