Big Ben Suspended 6 Games

The fact that Ben is not contesting this suspension in any manner speaks volumes... LOSER!

Given that the suspension can be reduced or lengthened based on behavior I don't think it's any surprise Ben isn't speaking out.

Roethlisberger is that creepy douchebag that everyone knew one of in college that sought out really drunk chicks in bars or at parties with no regret. He'll act up again and get a year, idiots like him can't help themselves. That all this never came out during the media week of the biggest sports event in the world is another example of that stupid Pottsville Curse.

As far as trading for him goes, Whiz and Ben don't like each other. Not going to happen unless apologizing to Whiz is part of Roethlisclown's 12 step sex addiction program.

I'd welcome Ben here...but since that is extremely unlikely all I have to say is that I'm happy with the suspension he recieved. Good for Goodell...of course the NFL doesn't need certain players like the NBA does for it to survive, but it's still nice to see him with such a strict punishment for his behavior.

Edit: I also love it because it helps the Ravens out tremendously.

Thats absolutely true. I was in Pittsburgh during that drama. Mostly came up after the motorcycle accident. Basically the same reasons Terry Bradshaw doesn't like Ben. The dude does not listen to people.

one gets the impression that Ben maybe has had run-ins of a far lesser nature that the public isnt aware of -- but the team and the NFL were.

six games for an incident where charges were never filed seems like a lot by itself -- but doesn't if this was part of a building pattern.

You have to assume that the Steelers know more then us about the REAL Big Ben and these incidents are not isolated in anyway.

This is also the reason the Cardinals will NEVER trade for Big Ben. No one knows Rothlesberger more intimately then Wiz, and it should speak volumes about the man inside that we won't even make an inquiry on BB.

I also think this is why Wiz came down so hard on Matty. He wanted to beat that mentality out of Matt ASAP because he saw first hand what an ass clown Big Ben was.
