Pre-season games do not matter. (Unless you're a fan, or a QB, or a player fighting for a roster spot, or...) Ok, it matters, and it is a hell of a lot better than June!

i'll put up my 1253 asfn dollars against anyone who wants it that Leinart, barring injury, is the starter week 1. Whiz is not going to change his mind based on a meaningless pre-season game. He's REPEATEDLY said Leinart is the guy. It's been like that through the entire off season,in which Leinart has been nothing but praised, and throughout camp. You guys act like Warner is some kind of super QB. Most of Leinart's questions are being based on his bad game in Bmore. The year before, he was all everything on here. We had him in the HOF. Last year, they guy was continuing develop,as Whiz has stated, but got injured. Who knows,he may have put up better numbers than Warner did without all the TO's in the second half last year. Bring on all the bets. It will be the easiest win i could have.

Does Leinart have upside worth developing? Which QB will give us a better chance to win this year?

Skkorp I have read about 150 posts on this subject and that is the best I have seen it put.

Those are the two questions that need to be answered and when they are......we will know who our QB is for 2008.

I don't care which of the two start. I just want the best QB right now on the field. If that is Leinart, great. It will mean the long term solution is in place. If it is Warner, I am fine with that as well. He has this year and next of decent performance left in him(IMO). I am from the old school and believe that the best player should start without regard to hurt feelings and "he could be great with time". I am hoping that we are playing to win now and expect us to do so. So when the Cards take the field in San Francisco, I expect the best player to start. If a change is needed later then I feel Wiz should take the full brunt of the blame. He has had a whole off season, preseason, and last years tapes to make an informed decision. We are not a team who can afford to lose games and then try to play catch up. The first two games give us a great opportunity to get a good start, and we can't waste them with a bad QB choice. I want to win now and am tired of "we will be good next year".
