ESPNews just reported that MJ's purchase of the Bucks has been tenatively approved. Chad Ford was the one to break the story of course. As it was explained, this means taht MJ's people are now in control, although they do not own the team yet. Jordan apparently was pushing for this to happen before the draft because he wanted to make the pick.

Ford said that the sources that told him the sale was approved also said that Jordan had a definite person he wanted to pick at #8, although he was not given a name. He followed that by saying sources close to Jordan who he contacted say he really likes Sweetney from Georgetown.

He went on to say that they had Kirk going at #8 becdause they assumed Payton would bolt. However Ford was told that Jordan wants Gary to remain a Buck, and that he has a good relationship with him.

Basically the entire draft after the bucks could be twisted around now. We are not talking about another PG off the board, but instead a different position, if all this is true it could have a big effect on the next 6 or so picks.

We'll see how quickly Michael Jordan can screw up the Milwaukee Bucks. :)

I didn't think Jordan screwed up the wizards that badly. I actually liked the moves where he dumped a lot of his high salaried players. He was thinking long term. What I didn't like was that he came back to play for them and I think that screwed them up more than anything.

lol, now DA just said that the sale is still going to go through, but not until after the draft. Officially it is still Ernie's call, but who knows what influence the MJ camp has right now...guess the pick will be the hint
