Josh Allen and Joey Bosa have been well acquainted far before the quarterback and pass rusher became teammates with the Buffalo Bills.
And it was a one-and-done.
In Allen's seven-year career, he only faced Bosa one time when the defender was on the Los Angeles Chargers.
That's all it took to make a... literal... impact.
Both players had interviews after signing new contracts in Buffalo. Allen's was his extension, meanwhile, Bosa's was his one-year deal.
Asked about Bosa, Allen remembers how Bosa got him "a couple of times," referencing when he was sacked by his new teammate.
"That's a pretty cool signing. He's to me a couple of times in my career. I'm glad we don't have to play against him now," Allen said.
In November 2024, Bosa had three sacks against the Bills, including two on Allen (the other on Matt Barkley). In total, Bosa had five QB hits in the contest as well. Those were career-high numbers for Bosa.
Considering that, Bosa remembers too.
“It was a good game, I do remember that game, yeah,” Bosa said via video conference. “Yeah, it was a fun game. So maybe it’s an omen or something. Usually when I play the Bills I played pretty well, so it’s been a couple times and hopefully I play pretty well on the team as well, so it’s going to be fun."
