because you guys (bills fans in general) thought that your GM was going to "bully" or strong arm the cardinals into giving away a good player for a cancer you guys are dying to get rid of. So please spare us the love fest for travis henry.

Wow, you guys are something else.....last time I came here most of you were pretty humble, optimistic folks. You have one (supposedly) good draft and now your problems are solved? Because your front office doesn't get fleeced by our GM like Atlanta did a couple years ago somehow means something? So there was no trade.....who cares? I still don't get it......

Also on top of that the person you wanted in the draft all along went 2 picks before you're pick. Khalif Barnes was supposed to be a first round pick and the Bill's were salvating all over him. So not only did the screwing of us not happen, you guys lost you're man in the process of getting stuck with a disgruntled RB with no where to go.

I think in general a lot of Cards fans were pissed at TD for saying LJ sucked and would be no better than the 6th O-Lineman on the Bills.

There is nothing to suggest that the Bills were targeting Barnes with their second pick. But let's say they were, for the sake of argument......so what? lol Teams miss out on one player, they take someone else. It happens all the time. Barnes is not going to make or break any teams draft, least of all the Bills. Aside from left tackle, our team is set. As important as that position is, we are mostly in the business of adding depth right now.

Further, it appears that TD is the one who actually was in favor of trading for LJ, but our Oline coach talked him out of it.

Exactly? So why are you here?

really I am optimistic. Estatic? Thinking superbowl? Hardly. I think the team will have a good year, but most people here are realists.

Maybe you got us confused with the "official" cards board.

I'm here cause last time I stopped by I was involved with some pretty good football discussion. As I said, I was hearing that you guys were posting all sorts of smack and I didn't understand why. So, here I am.......

Well, okay......I'm glad you didn't cave to our arrogant ass GM either then......if that's what you guys are celebrating, then count me in! lol I think you'll eventually be wishing you had Travis instead of Arrington, but time will tell. Maybe JJ will be the real deal, who knows?

So you guys feel pretty good about going into the season with JJ and Shipp then? If so, why? I'm asking because I'm curious.....not cause I'm trying to flame you.

Because behind a bad O-line, DG still gave us the most productive rushing game we've seen since 1998 - now - without a slow as molasses Emmitt Smith, with a back with serious explosion and considering DG's prowess at drafting running backs, we're content with a kid who could be a total stud and content with his back-up who can't get yards when provided with a hole.

Look - the Bills fans who were over here the last couple weeks were talking about everything occurring as FACT - DG was already caving to TD, TD this... TD that - and the bottom line was that he played his cards wrong and is now stuck with a problem child who won't even be on the team after this year and got nothign for him but a continuing headache.

I see.....well, I've heard good things about Arrington so hopefully he'll work out for you guys. As for TD, I think that the media and fans are making more of this than it really is. TD holds all the cards in the TH situation. If TH sits out, he misses out on free agency next year. If he plays, we have a pro bowl caliber back up to Willis who happens to be in a contract year. So either TD has a tradeable commodity, or a solid back-up who needs to play well to justify a good free agent contract, which just gives us one more year to find his replacement. It's not nearly as bad of a situation for the Bills as people are making it out to be.

TH wouldn't sit out the whole season for Buffalo. He would certainly report by what is the deadline something like week 10 in order to get credited with his year of service.

That's true, I forgot about that. Well, if our new QB turns out to be a player, hopefully we'll be in the mix for a playoff spot. That would be ironic if TH came in and helped us out during that run......it would benefit both TH and the Bills.

because I rather take a chance on a potentially explosive player who is has never had an injury problem, over a guy that is pretty much playing for his next big payday and has a history of injuries.

I like travis henry and wanted him on the team, but I think it will be good to "grow" our own talent.

I am as comfortable with it as I would be with Shipp and Henry...which means not very. :(

lol......well, honestly if Kurt Warner has a solid year and you can get some good production out of one of your backs, you guys should be quite improved, no? Warner seems to still have the fire, so maybe he'll be able to get it done. The Bills bitch-slapped that division last year, so if we could do it last year, you guys can surely do it this year. I'd much rather see the Cards rise up out of the ashes as opposed to hearing about how great friggin Seattle is supposed to be all year. Seattle is nothing but a tease.....the 49ers are at least two years away from making any noise.....and the Rams are beatable. I sure like your chances of winning your division than the Bills chances of winning ours lol

Emmitt nearly got a 1000 yards last behind a line that didn't figure out their blocking scheme until midseason.

Shipp is very underrated in the league and better than Smith was. With the line improvements during the second half of the season last year AND the additions in this off-season, I have no doubt that a healthy Shipp could get 1200 yards in a season alone. Arrington is insurance for Shipp and competing to be THE starter. Arrington is the perfect fit for this running-game, because it gives us a power-back in Hambrick, a speed-back in Arrington and a all-round back in Shipp.
