I'm downloading season 2 of the office (3Gb)

It got to 99.7% done, and stopped (0 kb/s)

The progress bar shows that almost the entire part is green, but there are two small red bands in the otherwise green bar.

I looked at the files individually, and most of the video files are 99.7% done

Leave your computer on for awhile (even when you aren't in your room).

It might start back up once a few seeds come on; there might not be any seeds that have the full copy on right now.

If it doesn't work in a day or two, start over. It might be frustrating, but torrents have some huge advantages (mainly selection) over programs like Limewire. I use both; Limewire is faster IF Limewire has what you want, but torrents are easier to find (www.torrentspy.com).

If, hypothetically speaking, I have been downloading Office season 2 as well a while ago, then I would run into the same problem, due to the fact that there weren't any seeds and most files were incomplete. This would (hypothetically) force me to download the inferior i-pod mp4 versions of those incomplete files just to see the remaining episodes since it's better than nothing and faster than waiting for a dvd. Of course I would never actually do that since it is so blatantly illegal. Great show btw

And its great how, hypothetically, when i check out that torrent, there are 40other people at 99.7% just waiting for that .3%, except for the fact that i am, hypothetically, one of those 40 people

You will not ever get that other .03 until someone else produces that data. The way the BT protocol reassembles makes it impossible for anyone else to have your missing data unless they have 100%. You need to go online and start begging for seeders

It's really weird that you have a bunch of files are only 99.7% done. At worst you should only have two incomplete files. As long as they match up, it is possible to take single files out of the torrent and rename them and then open them back up with a different torrent file. You might lose a little bit of data though. It's also possible to import incomplete torrents into emule.

well, i found another torrent file of season 2 which seems to be working (and has plenty of people with 100%)

just have to wait another 23 hours
