I honestly never would have thought that 2 #1 seeds would already be out of the tournament. Which #1 seed do you think will last longer? Duke or St. Joe's? My money is on Duke, but I still think UConn is going all the way.

For all we know, both will lose in the next round.

It's really funny that in the first round there wern't too many upsets (although there were many close games). I was reading about the lack of upsets.

Well America...You got your upsets...2 #1's gone...2 #2's gone...and its only the second round!

I had mentioned on another thread that Thursday and Friday had been good days for me...the weekend brought misery and destruction to my bracket. Only 2 of my Final Four are still in the hunt.

I cannot believe the vaunted Kentucky Wildcats lost to UAB. Don't get me wrong, UAB is actually a good team but Kentucky was the tournaments #1 overall seed and alot of people picked them to win the whole thing (I didn't even have them in the Final Four).

I am not shocked that Xavier beat Mississippi St (I had chosen MSU though). These so called mid level conferences are just getting good players and good coaches...the gap has narrowed.

Predictions for this coming week:

South Region (Atlanta): Illinois edges Duke, Texas beats Xavier
Midwest Region (St Louis): Kansas beats UAB, Nevada upsets Georgia Tech*
East Region (NJ): Wake beats St Joe's, Oklahoma St beats Pitt
West region (Phoenix): UConn beats Vanderbilt, Alabama beats Syracuse

* Not a bandwagon pick of Nevada but rather I make the pick simply at how impressed I was with watching Nevada play and just dismantle a very good Gonzaga team. Georgia Tech is good but inconsistent IMO

EDIT: West Region corrected....

Winners: Illinois and Texas
UAB and GA Tech
Wake and Okla St
Vandy and Syracuse.

AZCB - it will be hard for NC State to beat UConn, since NC State lost yesterday......
