I was at the game. BK does suck. So does Kennedy. I caught ALOT of grief because i was running my mouth a little bit after Young led off the game with a bomb. My guess is the Marlins knew something we didn't when they put him through waivers. He was Very bad as was Kennedy.

I really wanted to see Young and Upton in person and they didn't disappoint, althought the wunderkid needs to get a hold of that whole catching the ball thing. He looked pretty bad out there defensively but I saw enough to make me feel he will eventually put it together out there

I saw another thread ask this it bears repeating. Juan Cruz is absolutlely filthy and throws some big time heat. Why not make him the #5???

By the way - one last point. The last few days there has been much ado about the fan apathy in PHX. Umm guys let me tell you something. NOTHING is worse than Marlins fans. I know it was drizziling, I know it was Tuesday, and I know they are a terrible team. But I am not lying when I say there was more staff working at the stadium then in the stands. No joke. Worked out great cuz I sat ten rows back from home plate but echh...talk about apathy..

well...with the way the franchise is run, why would any expect the fans to support the team when they are losing.

they have a 5 year cycle. try and win for a year, and spend the following offseason making the team as aweful as possible. build up the roster with young talent....rinse and repeat.

the Marlins right now want to spend the least amount of money humanly possible. their active roster right now has 20 of the 27 players making less than $400k, and only 4 making over $1mil.

its one thing being a fan dealing with the Dback/Suns ownership and money use, but the Marlins management is on a whole other level
