Overall I think Blake did a good job. Even showed that once this team plays well we could have a potent offense on our hands. However, it became clear that Blake cannot throw out to the left flat with any authority at all. I am not a quarterback technician, but with his arm strength you would think the guy could have gotten the ball out there with more zip on it than he showed.

Did anyone else think of Jake instead of Blake on these passes? I distinctly remember three different tosses to the left flat that all could have been returned to the house. Anyone know why?

Cheap Shot

There was no way that play shouldn't have been flagged. McGinnis should have been all over the officials. Just another example of the Cards not getting any respect from the league.

Mac should have been absolutely all over the officials.

But he wasn't, and like others are suggesting, he may not be the Head Coach that we have been thinking he is!

wasnt the crossing pattern to Q that he took the distance in the left flat?

Hit him in stride in the hands

The throw that was picked and ran in for a TD was gunned out to the left flat. The velocity wasn't the problem, the WR and the QB were not on the same page. Bly had to dive to catch that ball.

I thought it was a drag route over the middle that he caught over the middle.

Plain and simply Blake has a cannon arm and has the strength to make every throw on a football field. Has has done it his whole career!

I think your right. It looked like Blake thought the receiver was going to hook his route.
