Seriously, what is wrong with this guy?

Kurt Warner impressed me last year, but if this cat wants to claim this conspiracy and rattle off all these anti-Leinart stats, I have a stat or two for him:

Number of quarterbacks on our roster who have forgotten what team they play for during a game: 1

Number of quarterbacks who only needed to take two snaps from scrimmage to beat the Rams and failed to: 1

Number of conspiracy-accusing whackjobs who worship Kurt Warner for going to church Sundays, marrying a dude & throwing 800 identical twelve yard in-routes to wide open receivers on a nintendo field for 3 years -- waaayyy too many.

You sound strangely like a Jake Plummer fan during his first year. Is there something wrong with going to church? Are only "whackjobs" religious?

There has to be more to Warner not playing than we know. Common sense dictates he takes at least a series of snaps unless he had a tweak of some sort. It would almost be an insult not to let him make a few throws if he were healthy. The kind of message you do not want to send to a guy who may end up playing more than your QB of the future. What if Matt is lousy the first three games and we lose? Do we continue down the same path? We are in a situation not unlike Green Bay was with Favre. Would Favre or the untried backup give them the best chance to win this year? Time will tell. I would not want to be the GM if the new QB falls on his butt after a 13/3 season behind Favre. Backups are there for a reason and that is to replace the starter who is normally the guy who gives you the best chance of winning. I personally am more concerned with THIS year and not any future year so I want the best QB to start and I do not care if it is Matt or Warner. A QB or any other player should not be played because of his salary but because he is the best guy to get the job done. Matt looked good in the game. If he can play like that for an entire game then he should be the starter. The future in the NFL is NOW. Odds are we will see a lot of both of these QB's this year.

Like not wanting to risk injury by putting him in with the 2nd string offensive line????

I think Kurt is going to get his fair share this week, probably a series or two.

Didn't Wisenhunt publicly name Leinart the starter before camp? I thought he also said a player won't lose his spot because of injury.

Doesn't seem like it was much of a controversy, he should do a little more research before writing an article like this. Makes the writer look kind of clueless thinking there was a competition all along. Kind of like being at WWE match and finding out it is staged for the first time...
