Ok! You're probably saying what the heck. THIS is a football board!! :bang: But, bear with me for a second. I have been a Blues' fan since 67' (I know there's a few of us on this board) and Detroit has literally owned my team for the past 20 or so years. Sooooooooooooo many years of frustration! Well, that was then and this is NOW! This past Saturday night we PULVERIZED the Redwings from start to finish! My point is simple. We are in a tough decision now,no doubt. (ie; 49'ers, Seahawks, and expect Rams to get better with all those "picks" and Fischer....)

BUT, if my Blues can get to the point to where they can trounce the "vaunted" Redwings??...

Then my/our Cardinals can do the same somewhere down the road.

Of all the things in this world we can have, HOPE is one of the most powerful!

GO CARDS!! ...and BLUES!!!!

Mark in SC :)

I have a good feeling with Arians coming in. Niners are not unbeatable (Skelton beat them in 2011) and Kolb and co. beat SEA this year week 1.

We'll be back sooner than everyone thinks.

I have my own hockey reason as to why this could be the year of the Cards, but I'm very superstitious and even mentioning it could jeopardize the whole operation. I'm just glad that I'm not the only one making comparisons between the sports and my favorite teams.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were the worst team in the NHL last year. Saturday they beat Nashville at their home rink for the first time there in 20 games goin back to 2008 or something like that.

Yes it can be done.

Uh huh, then got murdered 58-0 later on. Play the week 1 game in week 6 and we get trounced then too. Wilson was just getting his feet wet in week 1 and we all saw what happened once he found his feet.

Hey! "Twist"

Hope you're doing GREAT! I was watching the game on NHL center Ice here in S.C. I kept waiting for Detroit to do something, and all I saw was complete domination by the Blues. The shots on goal were like 16-2 at one point!! I was thinking so this is what complete role-reversal feels like. Looking forward to a GREAT season! Take Care! Mark in SC :)

P.S. Curious. Is the "twist" any connection to Tony Twist , former Blues tough guy?

Uh huh, and those Seahawks lost to the Falcons who lost to the Niners who got slaughtered by the Seahawks. Your point being? I suppose we should never expect to beat the Seahawks again because we lost 58-0 to them once.

By the way, not sure if you've heard, but the next time we play them we'll have a completely different coaching staff, new GM and likely a host of new faces on the field. :p

Any given Sunday - People like you need to learn to move on and stop trying force their miserable, negative outlooks on life on to everyone else! You can go ahead and concede defeat to the Hawks in 2013, already, I, on the other hand am more optimistic.
