We talked about him last year along with Troy Vincent......when they were already over the hill......and yet a year younger.

Why take an aging CB, who has no tread left in his tires, over a CB class that is arguably one of the deepest in years.

There were three CB's last year (rookies....Robinson, Gamble and Hall) who made Bobby Taylor look like an ice statue.....and there will be five this year who will do the same.

31 year old and i'm not saying he is the future im saying a year or maybe two. we should still take a corner in the draft but this would allow us to not HAVE to take a corner and go for the bpa (DJ) maybe elton brown or david baas in rd 2, a.hawthorne if he falls to rd3. it would be a shame to have a guy like a.hawthorne sitting there in the third and pass on him because you feel that you have to take a corner.

Agree. The Seahawks gave him a huge deal last year, but he was injured and looked like he had lost a step when he was healthy. BUT Taylor was a pro-bowl corner only two years ago and he would help in our secondary. No doubt!!! We need to sign one veteran and draft a CB high and a CB in the midrounds in the draft. That would solve our secondary problems. Taylor could play nickel until our 2nd rookie is ready. The price needs to be right, though.

sounds like some of you don't get it. with two corners on the roster, you will need veteran leadership to show all of the young corners how to play in the nfl. a big name like bobby taylor would go a long way with a rolle, jones, or rogers. get a veteran that a young guy has heard of and can respect. someone who has gone to mutiple pro-bowls and played in big games. a kind of guy that has been there done that. you need a player that can show the rookies how to play in the nfl at a high level. taylor has all of those qualities. taylor might of lost a step, but he would be a valuable asset for the cardinals. so i say sign him.

WE have coaches to teach and motivate. Adding Taylor does two things gives Taylor a years worth of our money and takes up a spot on the roster that a younger hungrier player might have taken. I don't believe Green will go this route as he has stated you don't need expensive CB's anymore with the way the defense is set up. Big fast attacking from the front 7 or 8 takes away many of the big plays, at least it should. We had the 12th best Defense last year and with Macklin, draft picks and 1 or 2 pick ups we should be fine back there.

who said anything about giving the bank to bobby taylor. taylor played in a simuilar scheme with the eagles. the cardinals defense was ranked 12th in the league, but was one of the worst defenses againist the run. taylor plays well againist the run. a big physical cb who not afraid to go and tackle somebody. which leads me to my next point. how many times did you see the cardinals defense miss tackles. i saw miss tackle after miss tackle. appartently the coaches forgot to tell the players to tackle. every team needs veteran leadership. it is the veteran players that set the example on how the game is played. you have heard of leadership roles? havn't you?

If that is truly the case, then I would say no, don't bring him in.

But, if he got a clean bill of health, then we really ought to think about putting him on the roster. If he is healthly, lots of teams will be after him.

Tell that to that old CB named Green from Washington Redskins who was still the fastest guy in the NFL at 35 and still competing with the fastest guys at 39. 31 is not over the hill for an experienced CB.
