VaTech might come back to win this thing, but man, if nothing else you have to be impressed with Boise State's athleticism all over the field. There is no doubt they are a legit BCs team.

And, should Boise hold on, they very well could go on to become the only undefeated team at the end of the season!

Way to go, Boise !!!

It was David vs. Goliath, even though David was ranked #3 and Goliath #10. :D

They were rated number three in some polls prior to this game.
If they get by Oregon State they could possibly win out.
That can't be ignored.

Awesome game. This will probably end up being one of the top 5 games of the regular season all year. Gotta give props to both teams. First Va Tech actually scheduling Boise and then Boise playing pretty much a road game. Va Tech will be a very interesting team to watch this season. I've never thought much of Taylor but he certainly changed my view of him. Great way to end the first week of college football.

if this doesnt make you want a playoff, nothing will

great game and all, but does everyone really think VT is a top 10 team with a defense where they had to replace 8 starters? I dont know, maybe-and i dont want to take anything away from Boise St- but its sad when the first game of the year could decide a season..

VT has to go on and play 4 more top 20 teams and 6 previous bowl teams. Boise St plays, well, New Mexico St.

EDIT "possibly win out?" They should win there conference games by 30 with who they play

Actually, Boise still plays 5 more teams that played in bowl games last year also. @Wyoming, Oregon State, Hawaii, Fresno State, and @ Nevada. It's not a top notch schedule but there are still a couple of tough ones left.

Great Game! They always make it close for me as a fan! Lots of expectations for this year, and we'll see how they do.

Everyone knocks the schedule, but they can only get a few non conference games a year and they are stuck with the wac schedule. If they go undefeated this year you at least have to put them in the title discussion. It all depends on other teams records for sure, but if they are undefeated at the end of this year, that's 39-1 over the last three.

Really? Just about every team that can scrape together 6 wins makes a bowl game nowadays. Maybe it isn't Boise's fault, but their schedule is still a cakewalk. They get the next three months off while teams in the SEC, PAC 10, Big 10 etc. have to run the gauntlet every week.

That's why the Broncos won't get into the BCS title game, even if they go undefeated. The human voters won't vote them in.
