have we been spoiled with these two.

Is it feasible for the Cards to in time, have these two studs locked up and happy for the next 5-6 years?

or will one get what they want forcing the other to sail away?

I think each will get what they want and stay here happy for 5-6 years. :)

Short answer: Yes they can keep both.

Long answer: It depends on whether Whisenhunt wants to build his team around the talent he has which happens to be best at the WR position, or focus on having a great OL and running game.

Honestly I do not want to end up having two 10 Mill a year WR's on this team. Just plain old dumb to spend that much money on the WR position IMO. Besides FB and TE thats probably the last thing I want to spend the biggest percentage of my money on the offense side of the ball. They would make more then most of the offensive lines (all 5 players together) in the league. Just think you can invest more on other things/positions that have greater impacts on the game.

Hate to say but I agree with Mr. John Wayne.

Thankfully, Anquan Boldin isn't worth $10 million a year, and wouldn't make it if he hit the open market, anyway.

The highest paid WR in the NFL last season was Terrell Owens, who made just under $10 million (at least, that was his salary cap number). I'd like to think that we could keep Anquan and Fitz for $15 million between them.

The real question is whether we can keep them together for 8 more years. WRs have a long career. I know that Boldin has said that he only wants to play some 8 seasons, but if I had to say which guy I would rather have for his entire 12-15 year career, it'd be hard to say that it's not Fitz.

chicard11, quit shouting, please. We hear it. We get it. Move on to something else, please?

You don't want Fitz on our team. And you don't have to start yet another thread in two days from now to tell us again. We really do get it.

We won't trade him, even if we should, as you have argued. Graves has been making that pretty clear. When Fitz becomes a UFA, maybe he'll leave then, maybe we'll then tag and trade him.

2008, 2009 Fitz will remain a Card.

Boldin's deal just got done...he's signed through 2010, he won't rock the boat because of Fitz deal. He doesn't act that way.

When did Boldin say he wanted only an 8 year career?
