Too bad its a 16 game season and not a 6. Even the buffalo bills started 5-0, and look how they ended up.

you say they wouldnt make the playoffs without him, I show you evidence that they would. spin it any way you like.

Ok, I'm back on board the Q-train. He's been the heart and soul of the team since he came here. If we trade him, i'll still remember the times when he was one of the only bright spots on the team.

He's gonna be on a vendetta in Tampa.

I have no reason to doubt Q when he says he celebrated with his teammates, and again I'd rather have a player who's pissed off because he's not in a game in crunch time than one who's doesn't want to be in for crunch time.

How did you show evidence? 5 games? 4-1 record? Ooh that's world beater. How about the TD's against SF? His crucial first downs? Deal with it dude, you're hating on the wrong guy. 11 TD's over 1k yards, how does that not help?

You guys are having a hard time seperating the 2 incidents. I have no problem with the in game Haley confrontation. That can be worked out. I simply do not believe Q is being genuine when his actions after game show the truth of the matter. He is butt hurt that the Cards would not redo his deal, and that he missed significant time this season with the Cards winning without him. He wants and maybe deserves some of the accolades that Fitz is getting(human nature). But again he made his bed, followed crap advice from a slimey agent and maybe family, and now at the biggest stage an NFL team can have he gets childish and immature, very TO like, towards his coaches( which he blasted last offseason). Alot of you because you love Q are trying to make 2 + 2 eqaul 5 but it doesn't. Now the only thing is to be professional and go balls out in the Super Bowl in whatever capacity the coaches put him. He made his play and now he will wait until after the Super Bowl to again go on the" poor me I am so underpaid compared to Fitz" He walked out on his fans who in most cases will not be there at the Super Bowl to celebrate with him. The Fans deserved better and so did his teammates.

They wouldn't have made the playoffs without him. He is the heart of this team. He was huge in third downs. I can think of 2 games off the top of my head that we wouldn't have won if it wasn't for Q. At Seattle, and the Monday night game against SF. So...Your willing to trade or get rid of a player cause he didn't celebrate with his team?? Come on...Stupid!

If we hadn't scored on that last drive yeah I'd be mad at Q for interrupting Haley about that, but we did score, so it really doesn't matter to me.

Hell Warner and Haley were going at it in the first quarter, and reports are that one of the reasons Haley is getting so much interest from other teams is they were so impressed with how he handled those situations by not backing down, while still doing his job.

I have no reason to doubt Q when he says he celebrated with his teammates, and again I'd rather have a player who's pissed off because he's not in a game in crunch time than one who's doesn't want to be in for crunch time.
Warner was going at it with him because the offense was off the field. Not during the biggest drive of the Card's history. He was calling the plays for the winning drive for God's sake!

It's one thing to get in an impassioned argument with a coach the way Warner and Haley do...but it's a totally different thing to call a coach a f'n a-----or whatever name Q called Haley.

Sorry but that kind of stuff doesn't happen all the time in the NFL. The arguing, yes. The name calling, no.

Glad to hear that Whiz met with Q on Monday and the assumption is that Whiz drew the line in the sand for Q. He better have.

You have NO idea what Q called him.

And yes, I'm sure that happens a lot more than you think.

For all that Q has done for this organization can't you give him a pass on this one?

I still don't know why he would need a pass ?

Obviously he and the team (coaches included) are trying to put this behind them for the sake of the most important game in the Cardinal's history. It's a shame that others can't.

I 100% agree. The first week of Superbowl time was spent talking more about this ridiculousness then the actual game.

:mulli:

As long as Boldin shows up and plays hard I have NO IDEA what the problem is.

Edit---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Choose what you want to believe, I respect people right to form their own opinion, but this should be all anyone has to read, at least in my mind, to make this a non-issue. We all didn't know the "in's and out's" of the situation. Now you have in from the most reliable of sources:

From the start I believed this was a non-issue, and I am now feel even better about the situation after reading the Boldin did take the time to thank everyone.

1. http://www.azcardinals.com/news/detail.php?PRKey=2862

2. He also said he celebrated with his teammates after the game, talking to every teammate before he left.

3. “I just tried to avoid this,” Boldin said with a chuckle, speaking of the media. “Me leaving, earlier than everyone else, seems to have made it worse.”

4. Wilson and quarterback Kurt Warner said the mini-controversy hasn’t been an issue. The way Boldin was acting Thursday with his smiles and laughs, it certainly didn't seem to be an issue with him.

5. “It’s a new day, we’re in the Super Bowl, which I am excited about, so naw, I’m not mad,” Boldin said.

He is a star, a fan favorite. Just like any other time negative news has come up about Anquan we all get panicked, annoyed, frustrated, and feel a little betrayed. That is completely understandable. But now that the news it out, it seems the team and everyone in the organization is fine with the "non-issue" I cannot see how this will effect the Superbowl.

If it has changed how you see the guy as a player, and whether he is a fan favorite anymore, then that is understandable.

I for one and just happy to see he did interact with his teammates a little. I am still very happy he is a Cardinal, he still one of my favorite player to watch on the field. And I think he will have a great game for us on Feb. 1.

Now let go win ourselves a Superbowl.

I don't think the guy knows any other way to play. His teammates are fully behind him. He's going to be healthy, angry and hungry. That's a really bad combination for ANY opposing team in ANY game. It's going to be hell in a Super Bowl in FLORDIA.

11 freaking TD's in the regular season. How many did Breaston have? I love Stevie, but Q is QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ!

What? this comparison is horrible, of course the number #2 receiver is going to have more TDs than the #3, heck you can even argue that Q was the #1 at some points in the season.

Hes the heart of this team.. really? I dont see him screaming his ass off (unless its twords a coach) when we score a TD like fitz does. The old Q isnt out there anymore...its clear as day. This isnt the face of the franchise anymore people, its a DR tainted buisness man.

yes i would be willing to get rid of a player that really is more of a luxury than a nesecity(sp?). I said the same thing with shawn marion back in the day when people were choosing between him and JJ. Marion is a luxury player that most teams (as you can CLEARLY see now) dont need. ESPECIALLY at the salary he was pulling in. But the people wanted marion because he was "their boy" hope that mistake doesnt get made again.

I do believe there are so many dynamics at play that should produce an incredible performance from Q, such as:

- It's the Super Bowl FFS...

- Lebeau will NOT let Fitz beat his defense...we might beat the Steelers, but I guarantee Lebeau will do everything and then some in his power to take Fitz out of the game... This means Q should have more opportunity than usual to make an impact. A BIG impact.

- It's Florida, where he's from. Where all his family and friends still live and no doubt many of whom will be in attendance...

- He's playing for his next (last?) BIG contract...

Bring all that together, and you would have to believe the guy is set to explode...

;)

people need to stop living in 2003. Without a doubt - Fitz is the heart of this team.

I'd counter that.

Warner is the heart of this team. They go as he goes. His leadership has been HUGE this year. The greybeard is simply ballin, and he's been the ONLY guy to be pounding the "we are in this to win a title" message since way before the playoffs started. His experience and leadership is being leaned on HEAVILY by a mostly un-initiated to the playoffs and quite young team. What was Edge's quote after the NFC Championship game? Something like this about Kurt: that ***** is a baaaaaaad man.

And Adrian Wilson is the unquestioned leader of the defense, and probably team leader 1b.

Found the quote:

“Hall of Famer?” Cardinals halfback Edgerrin James repeated while walking off the confetti-filled field. “I think you already know. That [expletive] is a baaaaad man.”
