Can we put this to rest finally?

-- Anquan Boldin chuckled at the idea he wanted a trade. "I don't want to be traded," Boldin said. "I woke up one morning and saw I was disgruntled, saw I was done with the organization, saw I wanted to be traded, after not talking to nobody. It is what it is, but it's funny to me." Boldin expounded on the comments later, insisting he had no desire to go anywhere (I will write on this later too). He did sit out the practice with a sore hamstring.

Q isn't going anywhere. Dansby, and Dockett may be another story but Q is staying.

I hope so. I watched ESPN's first take and Dana Jacobson was still spouting the "Boldin demanded a trade" crap. You think anyone will actually acknowledge this error? Nah...

Great news indeed, Q is the man, and losing him would be absolutely terrible for this team. I really hope that the Cardinals can get a deal done with him before his contract expires, Q is someone I would love to see as a Cardinal for life.

I wish Dockett would take a page out of Q's book.

And I tell my wife she worries to have something to worry about...sheesh.
I guess I take people at their word. Q said what he said, and I'm satisfied.

Yeah, it's crazy.

The national news media don't do enough investigating into the "smaller" teams. Funny how my friends back east call me and ask about the Cards, I give them my take, they say "well, ESPN-SI-whoever says this-that-the-other," and I say "don't believe everything the national sports media feeds ya" and, many times, the national media is not correct.

as much as I wanted boldin to trade to dallas.......he needs to stay a cardinals icon. he is probably the one single guy who brought a lot of hope to the cardinals and he should and deserves to be compensated for that effort. I understand that this is a business and if I were a cards fan I wouldn't be upset if he asked to be traded.....granted that the front office wasn't committed to him. but they have made it clear that they want him around....so I believe he wants to return the favor. this is the way it should be in pro sports...but too often relationships between players and GMs owners ect....fall short because of money and lack of loyalty.

My Browns fan friend asked me yesterday "didn't you guys trade Boldin?"

I wanted to slap him. So I did. With a motorcycle. I damaged his knee.

winslow should really keep up with the offseason more. boldin is a bigtime player it might be important to know who he plays for. too bad boldin didn't play TE for miami.....maybe he would of been a high first rounder then?

This also ends the speculation

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/05/02/boldin.cards.ap/index.html

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Anquan Boldin says it's news to him that he's unhappy and wants out of Arizona.
To the contrary, the two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver says he wants to remain with the Cardinals and is not upset that he has yet to get a new contract on par with teammate Larry Fitzgerald.
"I've always wanted to be in Arizona," Boldin said Friday, the first day of the Cardinals' mini-camp. "This is the only place I've known professionally. I don't want to uproot my family and leave. I'm happy here. I have great rapport with everybody around here, coaches included."
Boldin did sit out Friday's workouts because of a sore hamstring, but said it had nothing to do with any dissatisfaction over his contract.
"I let my agent handle that," he said. "For me, I don't like to get in the media with business discussions because we all see what can happen."
Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt repeated the team's intention to sign Boldin to a new contract.
"We've said to Anquan as well as publicly that we fully intend to redo his contract the first window that we have," Whisenhunt said. "We've made efforts to do that and it just hasn't worked out."
Boldin and Fitzgerald form perhaps the best pair of wide receivers in the NFL.
In March, Fitzgerald signed a four-year, $40 million contract with $30 million guaranteed.
The team wanted to restructure Fitzerald's incentive-laden rookie contract because he had reached many of the benchmarks and was to receive $14.6 million in 2008 and just under $17.4 million in 2009.
Those figures left the Cardinals with hardly any room under the salary cap to sign free agents. In addition, the contract locks up Fitzgerald through 2011, when he still will be only 28 years old.
Boldin's deal, which runs through 2010, averages $4 million a year. He is to receive about $2.5 million this season.
Boldin said he will let his contract situation will have no effect on his performance.
"I mean, I do what I do, that's play football," he said. "For me, it's not a distraction at all."

For the Boldin bashers, the apologies can start now.

I'm glad to hear this. We are going to tear it up on offense this year for real.
