I could very well be wrong, but I remember the Cardinals offering to redo Boldin's contract in the middle of this year, and Boldin said he would wait till Fitz's deal is done, and then talk.

Fitz's deal got done a little more than a month ago, and Boldin is already looking for the door.

I don't get it. That is not really giving this organization a chance to do anything about it.

At least I am not the only one that remembered hearing about this:

Rugby,

I feel your pain man. Now do you understand why I was such a miserable pain in the @$$ when the Fitz debacle was going on?

I don't think your a hater? And I don't dislike you buddy. I just don't like when you throw insults at me.

I am with you on this. This sucks.

Furthermore, Fitzgerald might be the second best WR on the team (arguably) but at least he wants to be a Cardinal.

But regardless this sucks, and how the Cardinals let it come to this is crazy.

How could the face of your franchise end up wanting to get out ?

There had to be SOMETIME where Boldin said "Do this or else."

This team makes my head hurt WAY to much.

As you said "DAMN IT! DAMN IT! DAMN IT!"

If it makes you feel any better you were right. I didn't think that the Fitzgerald deal would actually start all this madness. But you are right.

As much as I think this is complete BS selfish, me before the team blackmail by some of our most respected core players, the situation is what it is.

And at this point there is no questioning that the Cardinals have no idea what they are doing.

How can so many players be unhappy on one team? It just baffles me to no end.

Color me surprised. I didn't expect this sort of response from you, Rugby. Props to you.

I've slept on this issue and am still just sick to my stomach. I'm really scared thay we might let Q go.

Yeah, Rugby is good peoples. He and I may be on opposite ends of the spectrum from time to time, but he always mans up when neccessary.

Thanks buddy

I also can get a "little fired up" <understatement> once and a while. I blame my Italian blood.

I also like to debate with people who are looking at things differently from me. It is the best way to learn, and sometimes something is brought to the table you never would have thought about.

A lot of times when I ask questions I just want to try and understand what the other guy is thinking because maybe I am missing something.

I have said it before. Somewhere between the darksiders and kool-aid guys is the truth.

As for this situation. I am complete shocked that things have played out the way they have. I don't have to tell you guys that I was pretty certain the Fitzgerald deal wouldn't start all this madness. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Which sucks but it is what it is.

I'm willing to bet it was more like,i'd like to be traded if a new contract can't be worked out. Schefter wants to make it sound like Boldin kicked Whiz's door down and tore into him demanding a trade. I'm pretty sure it was matter of factly and just to let the Cards knows he'd like be taken care of like they did Fitz.

I agree that too much is being made of it at this point, in all probability. The proof will be when Whis or Boldin address the issue directly.

I think people should understand that the dynamics are reversed from the Fitz situation. This time, it's the player approaching the team for a new contract. Of course, the dynamics will be different. It behooved Fitz to say he wanted to be here, it behooves Boldin to play the "trade me" or "hold out" cards. Either way, it's just business that we shouldn't take personal.

Can't argue with that.
