he will retire

It will be interesting to see if this is another Jake Plummer Situation, where he never shows up after being traded. Are the Ravens calling his bluff?

The 6 Mill cap hit for the Niners takes up most of what ever cap they had left. Would think they are trying to get him into a new contract.

I couldn't be more unhappy with this.

Wonder if he was offered to us? Getting him for a sixth is stealing. Keim should get on the horn and offer one of our sixths. Nothing is official until tomorrow right?

I would call his bluff. I bet he plays for the Niners just so he can stick it to the Cards 2 times per year, especially if he gets a new contract.

This sucks. I think Boldins best days are behind him but to face him twice a year is not very appealing...of all the teams for him to go to.

No way. Horrible news if true.

He also showed us what we gave up when he torched us.

A fan favorite on our division rival.. :barf:

Also, why would SF make that trade if they thought he was going to retire?

Too many picks?

No way the 9ers make the trade without knowing Boldin will play. He'll be a 9er this season and he'll get 200+ yards against us -- PER GAME! :D

He will murder our secondary for 2 games for some payback!!!

And to think the Cards let most guys walk for nada except for when we traded #81.

Ugh. This hurts more than the Harvin trade for me. Don't like the idea of Boldin in a 49ers uniform.

Boldin ain't retiring. You think one Harbaugh would screw the other one? Especially the one that isn't the complete butthole AND won the superbowl recently?

No I see this as one brother helping another brother while at the same time helping a player...who might indeed want to stick it to us. He sure did when we played him last.

Wow simply wow.
