LMAO. Quick question BW52 would you be ok with the Cardinals taking Josh Allen with the last pick in the draft? Or could you find equal value with UDFA? Asking for a friend to see how deep your UK hatred runs?

No offense, but I really do not see University of Kentucky (UK is already taken by a much bigger entity named the United Kingdoms) as much of a football powerhouse where they have garner much hate in football, now basketball is another story

BTW, I'm just messing with you :D

These are the same people that wouldn't have picked Fitz because we had Q.

I mean...hypothetically, what would this team have become if we had drafted Rivers? Or Roethlisberger? We'll never know, but despite all of what Fitz means to this franchise and city, it's really worth asking.

As much as I hate UK if I thought Josh Allen would be better for the Cards I would grudgingly say so.The fact is I don`t feel Josh Allen will be better than Bosa.Like it or not..thats my opinion.

Bosa is the safe pick.

The home run would be trading down, getting a haul of picks, and then hitting on them. I am not confident that we would hot on them however which is why I like Bosa.

Allen should be a decent player but Cardinals pick should be Bosa.

Cardinals passing on Bosa would be the equivalent of the Suns passing on Doncic.

If we're talking about "in the moment" and without hindsight - it's not like that at all, actually lol.

Doncic was far from the consensus #1 guy. If anything - Ayton was the consensus #1 guy, even if it wasn't an overwhelming consensus.

Bosa is the overwhelming consensus #1 guy right now. Passing on him (for a non-QB) would be more comparable to the Browns taking Mayfield last year. Almost no one had Baker as the #1 guy at his own position.

This is a valid question.

first off, you never spend the #1 overall pick on a guy who didnt play allllll year due to injury... that alone should drop Bosa to 10, there is just no way to know what you are getting. Most drafts it would drop a guy into the second round.

then you look at scheme fit. Bosa is a 4-3 DE...Allen is an actual 3-4 OLB... and while Bosa was quitting his studies to get ready for the draft back in october..... Josh Allen was racking up 17 sacks...SEVENTEEN

Josh Allen produced RIGHT NOW...not year before last

Allen can cover...."But Oak,...I want my pass rusher to rush the passer, not cover!"...no ****. but sometimes the scheme calls for the blitz to come up the middle or from the corner and that olb has to drop into coverage. when that happens, I would rather have a guy out there who can actually cover...otherwise we are gonna begetting smoked by RB's and TE's all season long. Coverage is a skill set, and it is part of being a 3-4 olb...then of course the guy has to be able to pin his ears back on third and 8 and go eat some QB.....did I mention that Josh Allen had 17 sacks while bosa sat out with an injury?
I agree totally with you, I'm a Kentucky fan anyways, have season tickets & I've watched Allen his whole career at UK. He can do it all, cover, gets into the backfield on running plays & can definitely sack the QB. All this while constantly getting double teamed by SEC offensive linemen, about the closest caliber off linemen to the NFL you will find in college. Allen had 17 sacks this season alone, in 13 games. Bosa had 17 sacks in 29 games. They should take Allen over bosa.

Nick Bosa has played damn near 7 out of 8 seasons dating back to his Freshman year of high school. Not saying he’s ironman, but I think the “injury prone” label is being a bit overblown. Josh Allen is a guy who has absolutely no counters & still lacks consistent good hand usage. He has no plan on most of his rushes. I have seen him get absolutely stonewalled by the likes of Georgia & Florida because of these issues. He’s great athletically, but that can only get you so far. He’s a very good player, but I do not see “elite” with him. Production is okay, but traits still matter more. Hell, Jaylon Ferguson has the record for most sacks ever, but no one is clamoring him as a 1st rounder because he lacks elite traits. I see Josh Allen as a Anthony Barr-type than I do a Von Miller type. That is not worthy of a top 5, let alone top 1 pick.

Brian Burns should be receiving the hype that Josh Allen is getting.
He had a strip sack & 2 fumble recoveries against Georgia, had 2 sacks against Florida & the second one was a strip sack to end the game. Disrupted Florida's offensive line the whole game while getting held & double teamed. The right tackle for Georgia is the only one that held him in check all season long & that dude was holding him on many plays but it wasn't called. No way the SEC wanted UK playing Alabama in the SEC championship game. This thread is comparing bosa -vs- Allen, obviously I'm biased but I know what Allen is capable of. Allen can do more than bosa.

I'll be for whomever they draft, even if it was a Louisville player, all though they are horrible right now lol. They draft bosa, fine, damn good player. Still think josh Allen can do more things than bosa. Can't wait for the combine stats from each.

If they don’t go Murray, then definitely Bosa over Allen. I would take Williams over Allen too.

Fun fact - one of the people who works for me is Renell Wren’s girlfriend.

She’s been giving me some good background info on his combine prep.

IIRC Wren did well at the Senior Bowl and got himself noticed.

Yeah. His stock is very high. He may sneak into the 2nd round, though 3rd is most likely.
