Even quoting myself. I used literally correct. It ACTUALLY makes my stomach hurt. I didn't say 'drinking tap water literally makes me want to kill myself.' It physically does. Even by your article, I used it correctly.

Sorry, if the sentence still makes sense by removing the word "literally" it is not needed, therefore used incorrectly.

Then you might as well throw every adjective out of a sentence..... The sentence would still make sense without it.

According to the article, if something makes you want to "physically" pull your hair out, then using the word "literally" makes sense, when saying "I literally want to pull my hair out", because sometimes that is used as a figure of speech. You can take "literally" out of the sentence & it still makes sense--"I want to pull my hair out". Your argument doesn't hold true.

Saying something makes you "sick to your stomach" is also used as a figure of speech. People say it all the time when they truly aren't sick to their stomach. So, therefore, in this case, since he actually feels pain in his stomach, the use of "literally" should be acceptable (by your article's definition).

'Bee sides with dcr, fwiw.

/he'd be the first to tell you that I'll tell him when he's wrong, too.

So we can expect :hulk: by drinking this water... :)

I've drunk it, bathed in it, swum in it and just plain soaked in it for hours on end. As far as I'm concerned glowing in the dark is a small price to pay for being in one of the most magical places on Earth. Lord, I love Fiji.

Have you ever read the books "Sex Lives of Cannibals" or "Getting Stoned With Savages?"

Great books by a guy who moved to Fiji (and another island in the area).

The worst offender to me is Fiji water - yeah, take water from a small island, ship it in plastic bottles across the ocean, and then pay a premium for it.

Morons drink Fiji water.

I buy Fiji every once in a while to re-use the bottles. All the other bottled water companies have changed to this thin crap.

You mean the bottles that use less oil to make, less to ship, less waste to dispose?

And you should never reuse those bottles, unless you like e-coli, salmonella, etc with your water. You can never get the bottles clean, even if they look clean.
