Is Augie injured? I don't have the numbers but I think he has a better chance at getting on base than Chris Snyder...

How bad are our minor league players that we are using Snyder as a pinch hitter or a DH in interleague play (he was used as a DH in the Seattle series)?

I don't have a problem with the move from a managerial standpoint. Injuries and lack of depth have more to do with it.

So you'd rather use a guy hitting .222 with a .317 OBP? Chris isn't much better at .222 with .352 OBP. Snyder is the superior hitter and was the correct man to choose. Augie is nothing more than a fan favorite. In reality he could easily be replaced on the roster while Snyder is very valuable as a guy who calls a great game and has top notch defense.

I think I am more annoyed that the manager/front office send out Chris Snyder in a pinch hitting/DH situation.

And as for Chris Snyder; calling a great game and playing top notch defense is great and all but he isn't even starting. Those attributes do not help the team when he is on the bench.

And finally, against lefties, Chris Snyder hits a whopping .175! That was the best option this team has? who's fault is this?

A couple of things. First the front office doesn't decide to have Snyder pinch hit, that is on the manager and his coaches. Secondly, Snyder was starting until he got hurt. He was just activated from the disabled list yesterday. Yes, he won't be starting much since Montero has been playing out of his mind. Also Snyder is a career .262 vs lefties.

As to who it would come down to facing Hamels in the 8th who would you choose?
Snyder: .175 vs lefties this season .262 vs lefties
Romero: .125 vs lefties this season .161 vs lefties for his career
Ojeda: .100 vs lefties this season .199 vs lefties for his career
Whitesell: .167 vs lefties this season .167 vs lefties for his career

Like I said before, don't let your fandom get in the way. AJ has all this info in front of him to make sure he picks the correct player to put out there. Snyder was, and will continue to be our best choice to pinch hit in that spot.

The front office doesn't choose Chris Snyder in that situation, the front office has put this roster together. If the best option on the roster in that situation is Chris Snyder, that is the front office's fault.

Don't let your fandom of Chris Snyder get in the way. There are some serious issues with the roster when Chris Snyder is pinch hitting or DHing...

I have no problem with it. The only other player I may have gone with was Romero only because he can run and if he got on, he could have changed the pitchers approach.
