Jerry Brown is reporting that Bowness may stay as coach next year. In all honesty I don't really mind this move. He is going to have a lot more talent next year than he did at the end of last year. Even though I don't like the way he took shots at Bobby on his way out, I still think Bowness deserves a shot to show what he can do with a full line up.

I'd still have preferred Martin though...

The fact remains that the Yotes brass have not brought in one other body to interview as coach since Martin & have been hiring assistants. So it looks like The Backstabber is gonna get a shot at head coach, we can only hope after the season (if there is one) he becomes Don Hay...

Bowness has had little success as a coach in the NHL, and last year was just further proof that he is best utilized as an assistant. Firing Francis at the time it happened was a mistake.

I also think the Coyotes are waiting on a real coaching decision until they know what is going to happen with the CBA. There is no point in bringing in a new coach right now when the season is in jeopardy anyway.
