I can promise you this.

There will be no end to my torment of some on this board if Gabbert goes to the 49ers and kicks our ass for 10 years.

I will be happy to eat crow if he sucks, but if he ends up there and kicks our ass, you have been warned.

I am right there with Conrad. Fair Warning:)
Me 3, sorta. Gabbert is the only guy out of my four hopefuls that I am worried about but I just like the guy. The fact that Harbaugh has a lot of Gabbert love tells me a lot. Says to me Blain can probably do just fine in the NFL.

As far as NFL ready, he (been mentioned) would enjoy Whiz's "shotgun for life" approach. But in the end, I see Whiz bringing in a vet. I hope it's someone good.

I'm afraid Gabbert he could be the next Alex Smith. Has the brains, the attitude, but is he accurate downfield. If we don't get Peterson, I would consider trade offers. For top 5, I want an instant impact starter.

Because he doesn't want to have to follow this team.....

These talking heads only want the prime teams to be in the mix

Cards would be smart to take PP7.

Wasn't Kiper blasting away at us when Denny Green took Larry Fitzgerald? Arguably, that is the best first round draft selection in recent memory.

Kiper doesn't like Gabbert. He says he has him as the 14th rated player in the draft and lower than Clausen was last year.

This means two things. First of all, it proves that Kiper's QB evaluations should be taken with a grain of salt if he had Clausen rated as one of the top 13 players in last years draft class. Second, it means that we won't get blasted by him for passing on Gabbert. If we take Peterson or Miller, Kiper will be praising us.

FWIW, Kiper's main knock on Gabbert is that he is going to have to learn to run a pro style offense instead of the spread. Ultimately this means that of all teams we probably are the best fit for him.

I don't care what Kiper says about our draft.

Our record other than one or two years out of the 40 says all that needs to be said about this team.

Kiper knows a ton about the draft but he dosen't know as much as I do about Gabbert because he hasn't followed him weekly for 2 years as he qb's my favorite college team.

If he had followed him that closely he'd know he's been working on pro drops the entire time he's been in college preparing for the day he goes pro.

How many spread QB's do that?

99% chance Miller is gone by our #5 pick. Which will likely mean we will have a choice of Peterson, Gabbert or trade. I really can't believe the Cards would pass on Peterson, however, they do have a record of such don't they (Adrian)... :D

Thank God they chose to take a Peterson this time!!!
