Is it too early to start bitching about Arroyo getting 10 million a year instead of letting Bradley be the #4 or #5? Or should I hold off for awhile?

Was behind home plate tonight and Bradley looked amazing.

Arroyo is better than McCarthy and might be better than Cahill. Hopefully this means Cahill can be moved at the deadline.

Was behind the Dbacks dugout... Is it me or does Bradley resemble Roger Clemens? Similar body type. Similar motion... Trying not to get too hyped as it is only spring training... But everything about Archie looks so natural and so dominant!
And while it is still just spring training, McCarthy has looked solid thus far in his two starts. Reports are that Duncan and Harkey have already has a positive change on certain pitchers, McCarthy being one of them...

Would of been nice to have Bradley & Parker in the rotation.

Well yeah.. Arroyo is a solid vet, has never missed a start in his career (I believe?) McCarthy is .. below average and can't stay off the DL. I was pumped when we signed Arroyo. He brings a lot more to this young staff besides the ability to throw 200 innings.

To be fair to McCarthy, the guy almost died and the fact he is even pitching again says something. I just wish he were doing is somewhere else. Maybe we can trade him to Japan, they love guys like him.

McCarthy had injury problems before being hit in the head. Last year's injury plagued season was the 2nd healthiest season of his career.

ok

Did he not almost die? Not sure what the rest of that has to do with coming back from a near death experience.

He did, I just thought you were saying that to be fair to McCarthy his health issues were from being hit in the head. Which was terrible... but his durability was an issue long before that. My mistake if thats not what you meant.

Bradley is scheduled to pitch tomorrow in a split squad against the Angels at Tempe Diablo stadium. I am going to try to make the game and see him up close.

So in total for the spring he's pithed 6.1 with 0 runs and struck out 5?
'Reminds me of an old joke. The morning after a party of the gods, Thor the Thunder god bellowed out, "I'm Thor!"

And a little guy near him said, "You're thor? I'm tho thor I can hardly pith!" :)
