Exactly. Thanks for hearing what I'm saying.ReddBird said:I'm guessing that you don't regret buying season tickets because the Cards haven't signed Leinart yet; I'm guessing that you believe that the failure to sign our QBOF so far means -- it's the same old Cardinals.
Yep.ReddBird said:New stadium, new RB, new hope, all diminished by the same old ownership and their desire for the team to be in profit before the first ball is snapped. No matter what.
Couldn't agree more. Nice work by the Cards brass!ReddBird said:In the last couple of years, the team has done some good things: They signed and then resigned Warner. They paid Fitz his coin and gave Wilson his contract. They opened the cash register to give Edge his money. They reworked Boldin's contract.
Great relationship they've established. I'm sure he be more than happy to stay a Cardinal after the first contract expires. Hello new LA team.ReddBird said:Leinart will get signed...for less $ than he wants, for more $ than the Cards want to spend. He'll get signed.
Agree. He can do it, but the line probably can not. Hopefully Loney can work a miracle.ReddBird said:You'll probably disagree but I think Warner can get us to the play-offs. He took a beating last year and managed to play a lot of football, anyway.
In all fairness, I think the Cardinals have been doing a remarkable job the last few years in the pesonnel/contract situations. Perhaps I should look at it this way and remind myself...
1. Bill Bidwill is not Paul Allen or the dude from the Redskins.
2. We do have some serious "super stars" with mega contracts on this team. I mean how much money is or has been paid in signing bonuses over the last few years. Paying Warner, Boldin, Fitz, Edge, Rolle, Big isn't cheap.
3. Cards have never "banked it" from ticket sales, parking or concessions thus increasing their cash flow.
I'll cut 'em some slack after hearing on the news tonight that the Cards have offered a 15 million signing bonus and 6 years.
