Um...only PP would be covering AJ

I was merely responding to K9's point about Williams covering him. It's a moot point as the Cards don't play the Bengals anyway this year. We could try him out against Julio Jones in the preseason though.. :D

Julio would play the 1st quarter and have 500 yards receiving

Looks like Williams is going to be this year's whipping boy. I don't get worked up over anything in pre-season. Even my own personal whipping boy could look good in pre-season and he stunk when it counted:

Dude that dance was freakin funny tho. haha I forgot all about that.

No celebration will ever beat Dockett riding Antonio and the Ref giving him a prostate exam on the field. haha.

My brother is a garbage man. Nothing wrong with it--he makes great money--but I don't want him trying to cover AJ Green, either.

Tell your brother it is OK, 98% of the cornerbacks walking on this planet probably do not want to cover him either. :D

I just went back and watched the AZ/Seattle game on Christmas Eve last year. Brandon Williams got burned MULTIPLE times throughout the game. I'll reserve my judgement since he's only in his second year but he looks like utter trash.

Since he's terrible at CB, but athletic with offensive experience, I'd like to see the team experiment with him in the backfield or in the slot. Would like to get something out of the 3rd round pick before he's potentially released.

You'd think that if he were good at offense, he wouldn't have switched to defense.

Zamort carted off during RW scrimmage. Not sure how he's gonna lift those boxes for UPS with a busted knee

I still can't understand for the life of me why we went into this season with the same trash at CB that we did last year... when there were options on the open market/draft AND we had cap room.

I mean... think about this... our starting CB, had to take a paycut... down to like 2 million bucks a year. That is PEANUTS at a premium position, with other options and cap room available. And we just went through this last year. Makes me scratch my head.

Brandon Williams? Oh ya he sucks.

Firsts things first you have to know how to play football then hone in...

And everyone I know named Brandon sucks same as Josh's. It's the time frame of our lives...give me a Larry or a Mike..etc.
I have a theory that we grow into our names....ever met a cool Egbert? Ever expect to?

Keim has to remember how good the defense looked the year we had 2 good CB's when we signed Cromartie, granted if we actually had more of a pass rush the D would have been even more special.

Plus, it was considered a pretty good CB group in the draft. I haven't drawn any conclusion on Williams yet and think he may end up being the starter. But I agree, that, if the coaches think he's not ready, or wasn't going to be ready, not addressing the situation was a mistake.

Maybe Keim figures he'll find a vet, if needed, like last year and can plug that player later in camp.

The hope is that Ron Zamort was playing so well that he deserved the promotion and this was more about Zamort's excellence than Brandon Williams' lack of progress. If so, that's good for the young depth at the position, particularly with Elie Bouka injured. Keim will sign 1-2 veteran CBs or make a trade.

the island is still available.

Its pretty rare to get emphatic, universal takes from the media on speculative moves---

but this is the case here.

Everyone covering the Cards doesn't just say "unlikely", or "Cards aren't interested", but "no effing way ever" to Revis.

Williams can't be a bust. Based upon his great play at yesterday's Red-White scrimmage, he's moved into a starting role. Congrats.

Only because the two guys (arguably three) ahead of him - Bethel, Zamort, and Bouka are hurt. And I wasn't all that impressed with Ronnie Z yesterday either. Got abused more than once.

Keim is probably paging Dr Flowers as we speak. They should be embarrassed that they're even in this predicament after a CB heavy draft.
