For anyone that has been to the practices, how has Sojourn Shelton looked?

You'd think that if he were good at offense, he wouldn't have switched to defense.

IIRC he was a pretty good RB prospect but he kept getting hurt and they decided for the sake of his health he had to stop playing RB.

Total reach pick, I can't recall ever seeing a guy who wound up starting the first game look that bad in the preseason. I know it was due to injuries but it was scary that we wound up starting him, he and the kicking game cost us that Patriots game.

Anymore I give these position players about 18 months from when they are drafted to fill a role well. If they can't do that in that amount of time, they probably won't stick in the league. Nkemdiche gets the same amount of time. Humphries at least showed he could be a starting OT in that time frame, even if it wasn't a good one.

Brandon Williams gets a little more time until I am just done with him ala Kevin Minter and Troy Niklas.

You hate Stand By Me, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, Misery, Running Man and Pet Sementary?
The only one I haven't seen is Running Man. Shawshank Redemption is excellent as is the Shining and Stand by Me and Misery was real good too. Pet Sementary on the other hand was just disturbing and too creepy.

Stand by me was good as a young kid.

The shining is okay. A few great scenes but outside of that really slow. I haven't watched it since I was a teenager though.

Running man is awesome and a movie I would really like to see remade.

Pet cemetery is one of my favorite horror movies.

I was over generalizing. I find a lot of his movies to be slow and boring. You happened to name off his best work [emoji3]

IT might get better on the reboot but I don't love the original. Didn't like thinner, Tommy or sleepwalkers very much.

Sometimes they come back had good scenes but outside of those I didn't like it much at all.

Even creepshow I think its part two i like a lot more. The one w the hitchhiker and the blob.

Pet cemetery is one of the only movies ever that afterward I stayed in my room the rest of the night from fear. I felt like ghost with half a skull was in my house.

From what I knew it was "loosely based" on steven king but they did their own version. I could be wrong.

I've read the book, and it's as close as, say, The Shining by Kubrick is to the source materials.

Watch it again. I just did a couple days ago. Totally holds up. Great coming of age story.

I loved the IT miniseries, but I can see why some didn't. Thinner, Tommy and sleepwalkers were just awful, awful movies... with awful scripts and super low production values. When great people were involved in his movies, either writing or directing, more often than not, his material was super cinematic, IMO.

Except for Dreamcatcher. Holy crap... talk about a ton of talent wasted in epic fashion, both writing (Lawrence Kasdan of Empire/Jedi/Raiders fame) and acting (Morgan Freeman, Damien Lewis, the dude from Justified). That movie was TRULY horrendous.

there have been few scarier images in cinema than Zelda popping up from bed in that one scene.

Man, that movie still gives me the creeps!

I liked Eyes of a Dragon.

I really look forward to IT and the Dark Tower coming out.

I'm stoked for IT, but I'd set your expectations to zilch on Dark Tower. All kinds of insider trash being talked about the script, production, recutting the director, terrible test screenings and the like.

it's too bad... they've got two great lead actors... but even the trailers do NOTHING to sell the movie except to say:

"LOOK! That guy from The Wire that most of you never watched and Matthew McCona-however-you-spell-his-last-name!"

I keep hearing about problems at CB, hey let's check the last page of the thread on the young, underpeforming CB.

No, it's somehow a Stephen King movie discussion. Awesome :biglaugh:
