What wife wouldn't, especially with all the former players who can't walk or get up and down stairs. He can still walk, run, play with the kids, he's won championships, and he's made great money.

I'd want him to retire too. That doesn't mean he will, though. This is a non-story IMO.

Leinart is good. We won't have nearly the passing offense, but Leinart has all the tools to be a Pro Bowl Qb and he showed that as times as a rookie. Leinart has gotten a chance to step back and watch Kurt and see what it takes to be successful in the NFL. I honestly expect him to set in and for us to not really take a major step back.

We have 41 Million or so to work with in cap space, and even with resigning/redoing contracts, the Cardinals should have a good opportunity to improve the roster. This offseason will be pivotal for the team and we will have the ability to sustain our success in my opinion.

I agree. He is having too much fun. Worked so hard, for years and years to get back to where he is. I just dont think he's going to be able to give that up. If he does, good for him. But I doubt he's giving it up at this point, no matter how the superbowl works out.

lol Yeah I actually drafted him for my fantasy team last year, but that didn't work out so well with the dual qb package. The kid has the tools though, no question.

Not sure why it was paraphrased in the OP but here's the line from the article. Kurt relaying the information to reporters throughout the season is a bit different than Brenda commenting on it to the media a day before the Super Bowl.

Exactly! I hope Shogun reads these reply an decides to edit the title. I was doing some serious when I read it and thought that she wants him to play for another team.

We already know the retirement thing and a previous article indicated that Kurt feels the same way. I hope he decides to come back if for no other reasons that he still loves to play and wants to guide this team back to the Super Bowl with a better record.

If he stays GREAT. If he goes maybe the Cards can use some of that $41 million to buy Hollywood Leinart a running game.

She's actually been a bit of a "medler" in his career all along. If I remember correctly she caused some problems with the Rams.

Of course when I say "medler" I don't mean that to be said in a negative way, she's his wife so his business is her business. It's just not typical to see an NFL players wife so public in these kinds of things.

Almost like McNabb's mother being a very public NFL mother, which is pretty unusual.

I want to believe in Matt Leinart, but his stats haven't really impressed and when was the last time this franchise drafted a 1st round QB that actually worked out? There's a first time for everything, but I would much rather have Warner back. If Warner retires we'd have little choice.

If he's at a point of financial stability, where they can live comfortably for the rest of their lives and he can walk away on his own terms, any wife worth a damn would want their husband to quit before the game quit them.

I agree, although I would compare a RB to a QB when it comes to taking a pounding. Today's rules protect the QB position a lot.

Nah, for Kurt to go out on top(the way he came in on top in '99) would be the perfect way to hang 'em up and be a sure fire HOF'er.
Awesome individual story....to bookend his career with SB victories with 2 different teams(each their first). Wow.
