If that's true, I'm hoping that Jeff Munn gets the promotion, not only to full-time play-by-play, but over the Guv'ner to the TV side.

I think he can become as good as Vin Scully. And, to me, Vinnie is the best.

When we visited friends in Santa Barbara recently, I got to hear Vin do half a game on TV. But I have no idea about the marching and chowder society.

I first heard Vinnie when I was an eleven year old Brooklyn Dodger fan (living in New Jersey) in 1952. I believe he had already spent a couple of years doing their games.

What play by play skills? Listening to him I get the feeling that he knows nothing about baseball. The few radio games where he's paired with Schulte are the absolute worst.

I dunno, Schulte is my worst nightmare.....Id take anything over him. And honestly, i was getting sick of Thom anyway....

That's because they're both play-by-play announcers, and it showed the few times one of them had to do color commentary.

It would be the same if Thom Brennaman and Greg Schulte worked side by side, rather than with an ex-jock to give ballplayer's insight.

I thought he signed one at the end of last year or just prior to this year.

While many dislike Brennaman, I'd be sad to see him go. He's one of the few announcers to tell it like it is, and will rip into players from time to time. That alone is reason enough to like him. I'm so tired of hearing announcers that do nothing but than ass kiss. (Tom Leander.)

Yeah I have no problem with Thom. He and Gracie have pretty good chemistry and I'd hate to see him leave. By the way I do not want Jeff Munn or Greg Schulte as our new color play by play guy. We need to bring someone from the outside.

I got to say that I Perfer Jeff Munn over GS. GS sounds like he is bored with the games in general.
