This team should be working on two trades, neither of which involve Jimmy Butler.

KD to the Rockets for two of our picks back (or more if they can get them)

Booker to GS for Wiggins, and 3 or four future first round picks starting in 2028 or 2029.

Booker's value should hold or maybe even increase with a change of supporting cast. IMO, they should hold off on trading him.

Unless he starts rattling cages, I don't think it makes sense to move him, I don't think it helps the team, especially considering they, even at the most optimistic, only would control their pick every other year.

And if we cannot swing a Durant deal with Houston then, IMO, we have to keep Booker, because blowing it up without our picks is apocalyptic.

Sidery is reporting that Butler has basically shut down all other teams. It's Phoenix or bust for him. According to reports his agent has told other teams he is not willing to sign an extension anywhere but Phoenix.
That's a bad sign for us. Durant's and Beal's ideal destination was also Phoenix, and both their former teams used this to squeeze out everything from the Suns which Ishbia enthusiastically assisted to.

I'm afraid of happening this again in case of Butler which means Dunn and Ighodaro will be traded next to the 2031 unprotected first. Add the max. extension for Butler and the Suns digged themselves as deep as possible.

The more time goes by the more I am weary of the Butler trade. Especially, if we give up a 1st. To me that's a no go. If the team is going to blow up it up they can't do it half baked. Trade KD, Trade Beal and trade Booker. If we can get a good player back and 3 to 4 1sts?! That's a good haul for a player who has never won a title. Again, I am confident, Ishbia would parlay the new assets into trades and he would go after FA. I don't see a scenario where Isbia let's this team languish in a rebuild for decade. Nothing about Ishbia screams patience.
