Brian Skinner better than Kurt Thomas? I haven't seen one person who believes that other than new. I mean saying that Brown might start over Boris and Grant Hill is strange enough, but Skinner better than Thomas is just crazy talk. There is only one thing that Skinner does better than Kurt Thomas. That's blocked shots, and I think it's a really overrated stat along with steals. Well, let's just say you can't look at shotblocking alone because so many times over aggressive shot blockers are out of position.

I'm not sure if either will be traded. I certainly hope they don't trade either of them unless they get a clearly great deal.. However I do think it's entirely fair to think there's a chance of the period I see no reason why anybody would say that's idiotic to believe one of these guys might be traded. I wouldn't call it likely, but I would guess there's a reasonable chance of it.

OK here it is, most people(including gregg popovich) know KT is a quality defender in the post, he plays smart position defense as well as anyone in the league. Brian skinner is the opposite, position defense is his achillies heel, he's often caught out of position on help D, and doesnt use his considerable body strength well to limit his defensive assignment from getting to his favorite spots on the block. Add to that that skinners man is always off somewhere else doubling someone, vs KT's nice midrange pick and pop shot, and you have it, bingo. You know, POPs could have had skinner, didnt want him even though they were thin up front after getting rid of elson. Pat Riley wants KT now, I havent heard of his lust for adding skinner to the roster of the heat, he does want KT though. Let me see, Riley, POPs, two of the best defensive coaches out there, its adds up even if you dont watch or understand the nuances of the low post defensive play to understand that KT>>skinner.

Devin Brown is an unrestricted free agent. You cannot trade for him. You can sign him. Unless Cavs do a sign-n-trade but the salaries would not come close.
