Brett Hundley: Ideal Backup For Kyler Murray

Came in and fit the system perfectly. He had a few very well thrown balls dropped too. I expected a complete meltdown after Kyler left the game but there was Hundley definitely fit the role of an ideal backup. Great game today for Hundley under the circumstances

I thought he really sealed this one for us.. it's that backup QB effect defenses hadn't planned for all week which helped mix things up a bit. Perfect time for a pulled hammy imo.

Which is surprising considering that he was just on their roster. He played well. Hopefully Murray will be back next week and this hamstring issue does not linger

Why not? He’s a DT-QB with a career 63% completion % and has plenty of experience. I’m sure he’ll try to find another opportunity to start, but if he’s willing to accept a backup role, this would be a great offense for him

I'll admit it, I've said on here "he isn't very good". He may not be, he damn sure got it done today. So I eat crow on my statement lol.

He may not have accepted the fact he's going to be a backup, though...it's a touchy situation with a QB going from anointed one to backup, before their 2nd contract.

I like Hundley as Kyler's backup and hope Cards resign him. It's a good combination similar to what Drew Stanton was to Carson Palmer in BA's system.

I think Hundley would love to stay here and it won't cost the Cards very much money.
