I mean, I don't know nothin' about any of this stuff, but why do I get the feeling that all of these moves point more to a Quinnen Williams pick?

DL is becoming more and more of a pressing need.

Agree all but 3rd point. Signing a 37 (!) year old edge rusher ruling out Bosa lol.

It's a short term fix. Next year our first pick will likely be a pass rusher.

The goal of this offseason is to build the offense.

Starting to think this is the move instead of Bosa.

Way more similarities to Rosen than Murray as far as skill set imo.
If it was Tyrod Taylor i would think Murray is the pick

Yes. Both Hundley and Rosen have ties to Mazzone.

It's not one thing - it's several.

1. Dumping of Glennon and signing of Hundly. You want your backup QB to run the same offense as your starter - we are moving to a mobile qb system is what this clearly suggests.
2. The Cardinals website openly discusses the idea about picking Murray, as do jurecki and other cardinal employees.
3. The signing of Suggs to 7 million. Not likely if we were going to draft Bosa.
4. Everybody at the combine is convinced Cards are taking Murray.
5. Keim saying for right now Rosen is our QB.
I agree man

Smokescreens aren’t a thing

GMs never lie. Ever.

Sources never lie. Ever.

I see your Suggs signing & counter you with the Brooks Reed signing. Man. We are absolutely loaded there now. Sheesh

I mean, Brett Hundley never played in a “Air Raid” in his life & played in the same offense that Rosen did

But hey

He’s fast & that’s fine so that must mean we’re drafting Kyler

Oh yea Keim never lied either

What a guy that man is

Predicting our 1st round pick next year being a pass rusher is foolish. We don't even know if it will be the 20th pick or the 1st overall again, or which players will declare and be deemed as elite prospects. Passing on Bosa, relying on Suggs for a year and force the edge edge rusher pick next year is exactly how a NFL FO should NOT operate.

Not a huge fan holds the ball way too long or did in college. But might do well in our offense

Hundley rushed 160 times in 2013 for 748 yards at UCLA and 159 times for 644 yards in 2014. He was a dual threat QB. Also, Rosen's 40 time was 4.92 at the combine. Hundley's was 4.63.

Brooks Reed and Suggs is about twice as good of OLB's as the cards have started the majority of their season's at OLB.

Fine, you don't agree. We will see what happens.

Your right it presumes everything goes well.

Just saying I think that is what Keim's plan is. This is the way he has operated in years past.

Hundley played in a pro set and the pistol at UCLA. The next year when Rosen started they played more proset. I want to say late in Josh's soph year was when they went air raid for a few games but don't quote me. So Dvontel is right Hundley didn't play in the air raid in college. His big issue at UCLA was he held the ball too long and took a ton of sacks when he could have run. he's been better in the NFL at that but then he hasn't really played much and was not good when he did.

What do you mean man

I’m agreeing with you

Brooks Reed & his career high of 6 sacks in 1 seasons wipes the floor out of the previous OLBs we’ve had

Not even close honestly

Suggs retiring next year

But hey

We got him for eternity

If that's the case
1.SK is dumb as a rock if he drafts Murray.
2.Bosa can play DE in a 3-4 or a 4-3 plus Suggs is ancient and is probably a passrush specialist not a fulltime player.
3.Who gives a big whoop what everybody at the combine thinks or cares.
4.Drafting a small QB and hoping he turns into Russell Wilson is idiotic and a longshot since your team can use Bosa who might not be the flashy splash pick but is a hell of a lot more likely to be successful in the NFl than Murray.

Maybe in certain passing downs Bosa can play DE, but there is a reason a 5 tech DE is 300 lbs, so he can hold up against a double team by a OG and an OT.

Agree with everything else.

You also know that Bosa is strong and has great technique and quickness.Good holding the edge.Watch Bosa and check out his review on NFL.com.Rare NFl play strength is mentioned. You don`t have to be a 300 lumbering DE to be effective in a 3-4.A little smaller guy with good skills can be effective.FYI NFL.com questions Quinnen Williams ability to hold up versus bigger stronger NFL players and double teams.Williams is mentioned by some here as DE in 3-4 defense.Plus the Cards will likely use some version of 4 down linemen at times also.

That's why we signed two linebackers and a corner

BW...you need to look up the difference between a 5 tech DE and 9 tech DE.

5 tech lines up heads up with the tackle, he is susceptible to combo blocks by in-line blockers. Because we are a one gap 3-4 scheme, depending on the play, alignment, and assignment he will have to disengage from an OT and take the B or C gap.

A 9 (or 7 depending on the scheme the 4-3 scheme) technique lines up outside of the last in-line blocker and is an edge rusher (additionally, sets the edge on running plays)...

NOT THE SAME THING... J.J. Watt is a "light" 5 tech DE, he is 290, not Bosa's 265...

We have never been able to draft and develop our own franchise QB. As a season ticket holder since 1988, this has been the most frustrating thing about the Cardinals. I don't trust Keim to make the decision on QB and hope they are letting KK make this decision on QB. The best case scenario is that KK believes Rosen can effectively run his offense. Then, we can draft Bosa or trade the 1st overall pick. If that's not the case and KK thinks Murray is far superior, then we need to draft Murray.

I think signing Hundley is an indicator that we will draft Murray. His skill set, speed and ability to run the ball in college tracks Murray's skills more than Rosen. Rosen never ran the ball in college and had negative total rushing yards.

TJ rightly pointed out that KK hasn't used his QBs to run much at Texas Tech, but maybe he thinks you need to be able to scramble or add another dimension to make the air raid successful in the NFL. If KK didn't care about mobility with the QB, I don't think we would have cut Glennon to get Hundley.
